To be a draconequus is to be one of the most hated creatures in the world. Reviled. Hunted. Exterminated. A monster. But what someponies might not know is that monsters aren't born. They're made.

What happened to Isaac, and most griffons who died defending Fillydelphia or the Cathedral, is something Washout would be conflicted on. Those were the two places the Enclave was completely justified in burning down.**

First off, she fully empathizes with those who were born into Talon Company, for obvious reasons. It's the volunteers she'd struggle to feel any sympathy for. In her mind, the moment someone uses their own survival to justify hurting innocent people, they deserve what's coming to them.

...Which is a little hypocritical, considering who some of her Hot Rods are. Snowmelt, in particular. She spent most of her early life a raider, until she was captured and enslaved in Fillydelphia. Then she fought her way through the Pit to become part of Red Eye’s army. It wasn’t until Sunshine and Rainbows that she finally turned a new leaf. Washout should hate her, for being someone who selfishly only cared about their own survival at all costs. Except, that's not who Snowmelt was when they met, and Washout cares far more about who someone is than she does about who they used to be.

**For real, if the Enclave had exclusively attacked the Cathedral and Fillydelphia, and nowhere else, the rest of the wasteland would have sung their praises. Unfortunately, Colonel Autumn Leaf had to be as cartoonishly braindead-evil as his Fallout 3 counterpart.

Zarrow’s conversation with Snap after confronting a caravan baron who ripped him off:

What concerns Yangtze about Oasis joining the NCR is economic compatibility. They are an insular, self-sufficient community who only produce what they need and have no currency. How could they possibly pay taxes? Oasis and the NCR have nothing to offer each other, which is what Gawdyna needs to be convinced of to leave them alone.

Should the NCR press for annexation anyway, they'd have more than Yangtze to worry about. Celestia would weigh in, in favor of Oasis staying independent, and would likely convince Littlepip to feel the same way.

I have to wonder what line Gawdyna would have to cross for Littlepip to dunk a hail storm or a tornado on her.

NCR: "Please take part in our economy so we can keep expanding."

Oasis: "No thanks."

NCR: ... >:(

There would be a striking reminder of the past for Heidi not far from Oasis. A wrecked Enclave Raptor. Something there's plenty of dotting the wasteland, sure, but the one outside Oasis is unique and would likely prompt elaboration. It is engulfed in a never ending pink flame.

Yangtze's Kirin abilities were never something she utilized often, as being a hybrid was something she preferred to keep to herself. After the Pink Cloud mutated her, those abilities became absolutely devastating. Whenever she does her Human Torch impression now, she effectively detonates with the force of a miniature balefire bomb. Sort of like the Nuclear Anomaly perk from Fallout 3.

I'm betting that a mutual hatred for the Enclave would bridge the gap between Leigh and Washout pretty quickly. Wash would make it absolutely clear that she believes any pegasus who still called themselves Enclave after the attack on Friendship City deserved to be wiped out. The number of lives destroyed, friends and families taken away, and settlements leveled during Cauterize make Washout ashamed of her entire race.

The proper response to any Enclave or Steel Rangers who haven't gotten the memo.

I suspect most of Talon Company smoked, so it's little wonder he picked up the habit. It's more of a surprise it took that long, though the circumstances are certainly understandable. With an Endurance like that, he'd best quit before he ends up with lung cancer or worse though...

We do know that griffon powered armor does exist from a random line in the original story, but it wasn't clear if it was mass produced. I'd guess not. Most likely there were some wealthier mercenaries who had some custom built during the war, but it was probably inferior to pony powered armor in most ways. I can imagine it might have been too heavy to fly in, or compromised too much on protection to be worth using. There might be limited use for it in Talon Company for shock troops in assaults on the ground, but that's never where they excelled anyway.

I could also see the parallels to Zion there. I'm actually not sure what Heidi would do if she saw a conflict with the NCR coming in that case. She'd probably try to stay out of it and might even leave town to avoid possibly getting caught up in politics or fighting. She'd probably prefer that they peacefully join the NCR, but she wouldn't want to be involved in them making that decision. She'd refuse to fight outright, for either side.

Leigh would absolutely be interested in poking around under the hood of any Enclave technology, especially their weapons and armor. She'd never forget how Isaac died of course, but a chance to see the insides of Enclave energy weapons would let her approach it with a more detached and rational mind.

The armor would be more interesting to her, since as I mentioned about the griffon armor she'd be keenly aware of the difficulty in making armor like that which pegasi could fly in. Hellfire armor would be a different beast of course, but still very interesting to her.

She could probably look past Washout's history as part of the Enclave if given some time. It helps that she wasn't directly part of the assault, and maybe Washout could help bridge the gap a little for her. She'd certainly understand the parallels of being born or pressured into military service. She was a volunteer, but she knew about those like Amy and how they were affected. The Enclave effectively did the same thing to their entire population, just to a less extreme degree.
