I'm not sure herds is the right word when dealing with diamond dogs or timber wolves.
Also you keep saying me and Scootaloo, the correct way would be Scootaloo and I. Also when you have numbers, spell them out. You spelled out three am just fine but that seven needs spelling too. Actually you need to spell out a lot of those numbers. Also it is spelled fillies not phillies.
Also m-80's, at least where I live, you can just play around with. I played with them as a child. They barely count as an explosive against a wall.

Yeah I was going to see if he/she would realize that by him/her's self

2768647 I didn't want to do this, but Dictionary.com. herd- a number of animals kept, feeding, or traveling together; drove; flock: a herd of cattle; a herd of sheep; a herd of zebras. Also, you will never know my gender >:D

2782140
Yes but canines are grouped together in packs.

2782151 yeah, but ponies know their groups as herds, and so they would call it a herd. It is like saying "Everypony" even if the present group are not poines

2782171
When you are referring to diamond dogs and timber wolves the correct phrase would be pack.

2782177 well spike says everypony and no one cares :P it's more so a culture thing with language. in the lore of the series, they would develop their language around their own being and would say herd

2782195
Ah so since its ponies grammar no longer matters. I understand.

2782207 lol, I suppose it could be put that way

2782219
Well at least you're are consistent about not including grammar, eh?

2782239 it seems we must reach an impasse. Ponies, in their culture, have created their own language. In their language, they use the word "Herd". In the english language, it does fit the description pretty well, and so to make it seem more like a pony was thinking or speaking, I would place the word "Herd" because it is a word that they choose to use over some others.

2782270
Should I presume the same goes for the use of me and how one uses numbers now?

2782280
Yes. You mean that isn't the reason you incorrectly used them?

2782304 I am getting the feeling that you are trying to get your giggles off of me.

2782313
Actually the whole numbers issue is a pet peeve of mine. Also you do seem a bit thick

2782332 well, i'm guessing by the part where you called me an idiot, that you do in fact get some sort of pleasure from this. I also find the term idiot condescending, but I find it not to be so seeing how it is coming from you. I shall now back away from this conversation, because I have important things to do and I should not be spending so much time commenting when I should be finishing work....

2782363>>2782332
I must admit the misuse of numbers is a pet peeve of mine too. And a big turn off when I see it in stories...

2782422 I need to find this mistake, Normal did not help me.

2782422
Glad I'm not the only one.

2782433 where did you find this mistake?

2782430
Actually if you look at normal's very first comment it actually looks like they give examples of various numbers within your story. Which could explain why they thought you thick.

2768560 that was the point, the m-80 comment was meant to mean that they have very low gunpowder and cannot forge any explosives.

2782433 Thank you for the help

2782363 His advice was good advice. The MLP characters say "everyone" sometimes, and their horse lingo isn't absolute. Plus, I've never once heard them use the term "herd" to refer to anything other than cows. Ultimately the decision of what to call the "herd" is your decision as a writer, but... well, just slapping a dictionary definition at him (especially one that doesn't apply to dogs or canines; it's a murder of crows, not a "herd," and a pack of dogs/wolves) only makes you look bad.

Sometimes, the criticism you get from people on this site will help you out. Even if it isn't something you agree with, at least showing the guy some common courtesy would make people respect you more, since they are going through the trouble of trying to help you. There are people in the world who do that (hello!), it's not just a site full of people getting their laughs by making fun.

$0.02.

2782530 very true, I was thinking about using human terms, but I did not know if that would ruin the illusion of it being a pony.

2782538 Well, we humans call a group of humans "a crowd." We don't say "a crowd of wolves." The proper term is "pack," and has always been such. Why would ponies universally apply "herd" to everything? It doesn't make any sense.

2782538
I thought it was a small thing but it did make me pause and kind of give a "wut?"

2782559 alright, I will succumb to peer pressure, I will use the word "Pack"

2782569 Now hold on. When you as an author change your work into something you like less, solely because other people ask you for it, you really lose pretty much all credibility. At least in my eyes. If you think it's better that way, then put it that way. Never cater to what people suggest unless you personally agree with it as well.

But I'm done getting involved.
