Hello Fudd321(any relation to Elmer, I wonder). I started to read chapter one, and I promise I will go and finish it in a moment, but there was something that I noticed. I don't know if it was deliberate, or if you were just looking for an example, but you have Twilight specifically mention matador ponies. If I am not mistaken, isn't the matador the individual responsible for killing the bull in a bull fight? While there isn't necessarily anything wrong with the existence of bull fighting in Equestria, if the bulls participate voluntarily, and no one is killed, and etc. etc., the casual way that she says it was incredibly jarring. I also know that views on the ethics of bull fighting vary largely by culture, so I don't mean to step on anyone's toes, but it just didn't fit into my personal conception of Equestria.
Edit: finished chapter 2. Seems interesting, but I foresee a lot of exposition in the very near future.
Well, time to kick another story out of my "Stories that need a whole hell of a lot more love" section. Gotta make room for this one. This is splendid.

As the bulls (like Iron Will) are very tough, I would think that in equestrian bullfighting it's a voluntary for them. However, since this is Equestria and I would like to think that it's more like wrestling or boxing, but still in the style of traditional bullfighting; that is, they best their opponent, leaving them alive, although there are some casualties. Does that make sense? Haha

And also, "fudd" is kind of an insult/inside joke in my family. We got a looney toons DVD for my younger sister to watch, and one day she cried "what a fudd!" Like an insult. It's just one of those things :P
