Amazingly written fic. So much in deph, but still so much explained so everything that is happening can be understood by the reader. Great work!

Still though, makes me wonder, is this a one-shot based of something? Or have you/will you be writing more in this universe?
What I mean is that some questions can be answered with at least a prequel. Like, what actually happened to Equestria? Anyways, those questions are not important for this one-shot as of now.
As a one-shot it's amazing, and written from the perspective of RD, it did hurt a bit to read what happened to Fluttershy, especially after what they talked about earlier.
Sigh, well, really great one-shot!

Yes, this is a one-shot fic. This is the first fic I've actually cared for, and put more than two weeks in this.
I'm not sure if I will do a prequel or sequel to this. I might, but this was made from an idea based from nothing, and just went from there.

I got a bit of a flashback from "a fic", with this battlefield, where Fluttershy helped to her last breath to no avail. Where the three tribes were fighting again. A fic where Rainbow Dash had to fight her friends, just to be ended by one, both regretful.
And, what annoyed me, I couldn't find it, I hadn't listed it anywhere!
It took some filtering, but I got here, and, again, whoa!
A reread after all this time, and it still hits deep. You are utilizing great words when needed. What I mean is .. I don't really know. I think I mean that I want to applaud your knowledge of words, I guess, heh
Agreeing with pikachu_sparkle, this fic is without doubt high on my toplists. I mean, when browsing around here, this is one of the fics I sometimes think "It would be nice reading something like [fic]".

I reread this and I found so much errors! I'm also being flooded with ideas that are more related to comedy and adventure, it's the only thing stopping me from writing the full story right now.
The full story is going to be more dark and adventure. I honestly doubt it'll be any similar to this! But until then, I have to write some comedy until I feel like writing something dark again. Hope you stick around for the full story- whenever I decide to finish that.

I would be interested to see how you could turn that into a story. Seems kind of hard (giving a good backstory to a pony war seems difficult).
To be honest, on the scenaristic side of things, I could argue Rainbow Dash's plan didn't make much sense (she could have waited after the battle to go look for the elements. If Twilight had found them before... well, would it have been such a problem?). The overpowered unicorns seemed kind of strange too, as well as the earth pony attacking the pegasii when the unicorns seems so, well, overpowered.
But I actually didn't and still don't care about the logic behind. Because what I like in that story is the feel of the battle, the great description of what war can look like and the use of Rainbow Dash not as a warrior, but as a soldier. And I actually didn't think it was dark, it was so full of hope, until the very end.
I liked the hope over everything else.
