Thanks to everyone for the Favorites and comments so far, it's very encouraging! This is my first post here so I wasn't sure how well it would be received but you guys are a good crowd so far.
I have a couple more chapters already written, I'm still proofreading them before I post. A new chapter will be popping up at least every seven days, sometimes more quickly, but I don't like to force it. The girls will remain as faithful to character as I can write them, but they're in for a bumpy ride. Stay tuned and thanks for reading!
Also, that beautiful AJ watercolor picture was drawn by a friend specifically for this story. She was going to do a bunch more but ended up in the hospital. Nothing major but she'll be recovering for a bit. When she's back on her feet, I'll go backfill some of the chapters. Her art is amazing!

Awesome story, but I'm thinking maybe you could space it out more? Put a line between speech for instance, a line between paragraphs...just a formatting issue, makes it easier to read.
Also, eee, time for speculation! :D Ok...so....Cadence is missing...earth ponies... all the crystal ponies are earth ponies and Cadence is their princess... D: this is related somehow!

Sort of. I got a new job, put my house on the market, and got married. Plenty of other weird things happened that were less life-altering but time-consuming nonetheless. I have the next couple chapters written but not edited and occasionally an urge bubbles up from my subconscious. "Post them!" it says. "Post them! Finish the story!" Usually I quell this noise with a simple "or you could finish those TPS Reports which won't write themselves." Stupid brain, always fighting the creative instinct.
I'm also having a little trouble because the finale of S3 kinda ruined my plot line, so I guess I just have to man up and finish up this story and assume everyone will be okay with the separation from canon.
Even writing this post kinda makes me feel like I need to keep going. Honest to Celestia, I actually had the main story up on my computer the other day and I was about to start proofing it and then stuff just happened.
Don't give up. I'm out here, living, and so is the story. It will come back.
And even though I don't plan to dispatch anypony, if you're a fan of Pinkie Pie like I am, you may want to brace yourself.
