Rainbow Dash is hiding something from her friends. She isn't who she says she is. She is Shadow Dash, daughter of King Sombra, but how would her friends react to that? I'm afraid. They would cast her away surely! You don't know that. They would hate her! They wouldn't do anything like that! They're your friends! They would probably banish her from Equestria! I can't risk it...
Inspired from the many stories I read that were incomplete having a similar idea of sorts to this story. Hopefully I finish the job, unlike so many others.

Ill admit I can be a little overdramatic but this story is so good and puts my own Rainbow Dash is Sombra’s daughter story to shame
Loving the story so far. To be honest, I always love the fics these sorts of fic that involve Rainbow’s insecurities, and I found it sort of cute how Twilight was so concerned for Rainbow right there.
Just something that occurred to me when I thought about this which is that, maybe once you’ve finish this fic, you could do a bonus chapter where Discord admits to have actually known that Rainbow was Sombra’s daughter from the very start, and thus he was actually extremely careful when he corrupted her because he didn’t want to risk Rainbow using dark magic to try to overthrow him. Just a suggestion.

Okay, getting back to you on my PC to make this explanation easier:
So, you're saying she slept through 1000 years. Now this means 1 of 2 things for me:
1. "Oh damn, she woke up 1000 years later. Must've slept through 1000 years."
In which case, it was literally just a flashback - I guess I could've made it more clear.
or
2. "Damn, if the spell made it so that it seems like ten years or something to Sombra, but in reality it's 1000 years, then doesn't that mean that Rainbow Dash left multiple years before the spell broke? Sombra barely remembered her, meaning that it must've been more than a few years since he last saw her, meaning multiplying those few years multiplied by a few years gets you a crap ton of years, meaning that Rainbow Dash should be hella old, but she isn't. Why is that?"
