Oh boy! I want to see him looking at Jason Wright like a villain, then suffer a huge emotional conflict after Jason gladly revealed what he suffered from the "friendly" ponies. And, the realization that this Equestria is real, unlike the TV version. As a result, creatures can commit horrible crimes.
There is absolutely no way any pony will gladly reveal why Jason burned Ponyville. However, props to Jason for being strong enough to not kill the citizens.
At least we got a timeframe of which season the invasion might've taken place in.
And if we take it into account, then in the Equestria Girls verse the invasion took place sometime either after the Legend of the Everfree movie or during/after the Magical Movie Night specials.
Then again, the timeframe wouldn't make much sense as those are only based on when they were released irl but the girls are still in high school.
The line from the previous chapter of Sunset telling off Twilight to not her or her "new human friends" is still the only hint on a possible timeframe.
Sorry that I seemed to be too fixated on this, but it's been bugging me ever since this story has (unofficially) canonized EG in this version of the Ending-verse.
Anyway, it's going to be... difficult once Gregory's image of the Mane 6 is shattered once he finds out what they did to Jason.
I'm noticing this kind of trend of yours where the human basically comes to the realization MLP ain't so innocent. Feel like Hasbro has been taking artistic liberties with Equestria. It's like the company knows My Little Pony's world is actually real & it ain't all sunshine & rainbows so they make some changes to make it marketer friendly while still retaining some dark elements ala how Disney did with their classics films that have dark as fuck stories that they're based around. Might be thinking too deep but it's just a theory to me personally.

I don't think it's that deep, Equestria likely is the way it's portrayed in the show. People just use darker themes to keep things interesting, sometimes it might get tiring reading the same innocent E-rated stories.
"Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it" eeeyyy. Hmmmmmmm, idk why but this sounds suspicious haha
So the changelings have been in low-level conflict with the gryphons? I suppose Gregory being open accepted and beloved by gryphons is going to change that pretty quick.
Edited for grammar.
greg will probably want to take jason down, and we will have to endure the excruciating pain knowing what greg doesnt

I think it more of the griffins wondering if they are next. They apparently never heard anything more than everyone was captured and ponyville destroyed. They have no idea how big of jerks the main 6 acted like. And how the town decided that if twilight didn't want to be nice why should they.
Thank for the update another great chapter!!@
Love it, good sequel to the other stories, just hope you don't forget your other projects
The plot thickens. Gregory knows knows about Jason but is still under the impression that the Ponies here are the same as the ones from the show. Wonder when he'll cross paths with Jason. I also wonder what will happen when he eventually meets Celestia. We know that she'll be called by the map as well, so I wonder how she'll react to another human in Equestria with the guilt of what she did to Jason still weighing on her shoulders.
And I'm also extremely interested in what will happen when Gregory eventually meets the changelings
This is getting good, I couldn't help but feel a lump in my throat knowing that Gregory still maintains that image of how good Equestria is, I'm imagining a verbal confrontation between Jason and Gregory and an internal conflict when Gregory knows why Jason acted like this against his favorite characters.
So Greg planned his trip to Equestria? How??

I imagine the same way Jason did.

Poor guy he is going so disappointed when he finds out what they did. Though I'm not sure what the tree hopes for considering the girls hate themselves for what they did everyone who was in canterlot that day knows what they did and its a wonder that the whole country hasn't blackballed ponyville for their actions.
Jesus Christ reading this it seems Greg got lucky ! I could imagine how Jason reacts to meeting Greg and talking , one sees the bright side of Equis the other saw the worst Jesus this is getting good !

The three hopes that the Mane 6 will hange a chance at showing they aren't bad and have another shot at doing the right thing.

I hate it i hate it i hate it i hate it i hate it
As SOON as I started reading it, I could hear the song playing in my head like I was listening to it right then and there....
I can't help but get this feeling that Jason is going to absolutely hate Gregory because in a sense the other guy has everything he wanted five years ago when he first came to Equestria and then some. Which is a happy and peaceful life in the magical land of the ponies. Before all of his dreams were wrongfully crushed and burn to ashes. Not to mention Gregory overall personality is somewhat of a reminder of his old self that he lost all those years ago. Which is going to be very sore point for him.
