Very excellent
This was quite good. You had a good scenario, good prose, and good pacing. You had a few minor mechanical errors, but nothing distracting. My only real complaint would be that it felt so quick. It felt like there needed to be a little more to end it properly. I can understand if you were just trying to hit a wordcount, but I would have really enjoyed seeing a grand finale to this.

I do agree that it'd be great to get more out of the concept, and I had plenty of ideas on what to do, but sadly, I did have a word limit and it had to be cut, so i had to work with what I was given.
