A Real Hero

Equestria needed a hero to save the lands from an ancient, evil foe; a tale nearly as old as stories themselves. The Hero they end up receiving is Jack; professional dreamer, greedy bookworm, and now full-time Hero. Unfortunately for the ponies, the Hero they ended up summoning is not the Hero anyone expected nor exactly wanted.

After all, what kind of hero demands to be paid for saving the world?!

"Support?" Luna tilted her head in confusion. "Thy have summoned you, hero. My sister and I have put in the effort in-pony to help complete this fit? What else could we offer thee?"

Am I supposed to side with the human? If not then I am on his side. They dragged him out of the blue and think doing so is offering him anything and when he asks for simple compensation they act stunned and by the description are going to act like he is being unreasonable when it's the least they could do for someone they dragged into their world that has nothing to his name. Do they expect him to survive off nothing. Then again since this is the only chapter they could only be stunned at the thought of money and will and are going to provide food and shelter. We'll see I guess.
