I like to think of Cozy, Chrysalis, and Tirek as like Team Rocket from the anime in this scenario.
They're around and a nuisance, but it's not anyone needs to bust out the rainbow lasers to deal with them.
Whether they know Chrysalis is an active saboteur for the month is a different matter.

My guess is that, in their view, the other participants might figure them out. With the Student 6, they are more likely to be trying to win as a point of pride and less likely to admit it if they found out they got tricked.
