Sequel to Indomitable
Ever since the Rift Crisis and First Song were thwarted by a monster hunter called Zen, a new Guild focused on the discovery, research, and safeguarding of Equestria was established. Years later, Akira, a Bat-Pony with a strange set of abilities takes her first steps toward becoming a real hunter like her parents.
But deep down, she wants to be the first to uncover an ancient myth from before the Princesses' reign, the legend of a mighty Black Dragon rumored to have set foot in Equestria centuries ago. Her journey is not without risk, but that was the essence of a hunter, and she has a long way to go toward her dream.

That monster is still eluding me for the moment, but I'm getting a feeling it's the flagship monster from 4U, gore magala. I never got too far into 4U myself, but did get far enough to fight the big boi once at least, even if it wasn't the true fight.
I'd be surprised if just surviving until morning is as easy as it seems, but I have hope that everything will turn out alright and no one ends up too badly hurt by big boi.
Wondering now how long you're planning this story to stretch, cause it could be until Akira is recognised as a hunter with her friends, or it could be longer stretching adventure even after that. Either way I'm here for more~

Flagship correct. And Akira's relationship with Myst from this point on will be fun to work on... whenever I motivate myself to do so. As for how long this tends to be, well, unlike Indomitable, I'm not sure. It was intended to be a larger journey that shows Akira overcoming various monsters and trials, both as a Hunter and a person (or bat pony I should say). This arc focuses on her rise to becoming a great Hunter as well as that monster she fought but that's all I'll say. Happy to always receive your support, even if my schedule is completely erratic

I love the transition from her saying her moves out loud to just the visual effects being described of the swords dance and the night slash. Added much more effect to the battle, if making a little bit harder for me to understand everything. (don't worry, that's just a me problem, I have bad mental fog) I understood with some more careful reading tho.

New teammate acquired! Its always the crazy ones first, but well, I guess they'll all be crazy when you think about it. Need to be a bit crazy to take on monsters like that. He seems nice enough, even tho he definitely needs to learn some manners. Reminds me of the boar guy from Demon Slayer, if you've seen it.
If next chapter is going to be about Rathian as a rank up, I'm hoping to see Akira dodging all the tail attacks! Does seem a bit out of place to have a rank up from no large monster hunting, straight into Rathian, but maybe that's just a hint in climbing a few stars at once? Either way, hoping our rag tag group passes!

Happy you enjoyed, hope you're doing well yourself. Yeah... didn't really make it subtle that Inosuke was the inspiration. As for the rank-up system, I've decided to follow the pattern Rise do as no single game follows a distinct trend for obvious reasons, but Akira's fought thus far several 'Great' monsters, and now a Tigrex. And really, I'd consider Rathalos to be tougher than Rathian (That, and I hate the former).

Happy to know. As for Argo's parents. Pulled the 'magic is the answer' out of a hat. I might have Argo or someone talk about it but essentially it's just using magic to infuse Ren's DNA with Argo's other mother's to form the embryo.

He does not, Zen’s knowledge on Monster Hunter was limited up to Iceborne, Frontier is also one he has limited knowledge of.
And yes, I like World’s mechanics but Rise was fun too.
