The first chapter worked, and I had to laugh as Celestia's last words in it.
The second chapter felt like it was written by a Season 1 Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation. We need to upgrade the author with an emotion chip.

It's funny because it is absurd. Stealing the crown jewels, attempted murder, and that level of damage to the school are criminal actions that should warrant calling the police, charges being pressed, and years in prison. But because she's in school and there is magic involved, she gets a slap on the wrist instead.
Okay, so three weeks suspension might be problematic given how she is unlikely to have any family in this world. No school lunches might mean no food for a homeless girl. A responsible adult should have investigated her home situation that night. But cartoons like Equestria Girls operate on their own world logic. Such as incongruously light punishments for serious offenses.

They care about their students enough to handle punishments unfortunately though the punishments sometimes can seem unfair, especially to someone that was being mind controlled by very powerful Magic, especially in the hands of someone that's untrained that was being corrupted by their inner demons suspending her for 3 weeks well not trying to find out her living situation or making sure that she was okay is what we call big heart small brain moment
