I may write comedy, grimdark, or tales slightly tall, but I'll be stupidly smiling while writing them all.

It's hundreds of years before Equestria was established. Unicorn, pegasus and earth pony hate each other and only work together begrudgingly.

Amber Sparrow is a unicorn with great ambitions. One day, he is drafted to raise the sun. He would gladly serve his tribe and bring a new day to the unicorn lands- but there's a problem. Once he raises the sun, his magic will be gone forever.

So far, the story is only rated teen because of light alcohol use, but there might be darker themes soon.

Good potential for a interesting story.

As someone else writing a story with a similar starting point - interesting. This could go some rarely explored places. Looking forward to it.

The stand was made of wood and painted with bright red patterns, as Amber figured that they would attract ponies' attention. It was shoddily made, as despite his best efforts, Amber was not a carpenter. A sign hanging from its roof read "ENCHANTED THINGS- STARTING AT FIVE BITS! OR BRING YOUR OWN THINGS TO ENCHANT STARTING AT TWO!" The things were stored in sacks on the stand desk. The roof was low, and Amber's horn grazed the ceiling when he stood.

I think I know why he isn’t getting customers.

"I'll also buy a bag that carries itself, a loudspeaker that amplifies magic, and horseshoes that make you run faster."

Oh no

The cloaked pony paid and left with his purchase. His cloak fluttered a little as he walked away, momentarily showing his cutie mark: a notepad and a pencil.

What does that mean?

"Ew. I run an enchantment shop. I mostly enchant tools, but lots of ponies have been asking for enchanted rocks lately. Don't know why."

Will that be revealed?

That night, a message marked with bright red was on Amber's doorstep. Tired and half-drunk, he decided to read it tomorrow as he went to sleep.

Oh no
