linux mint 17, an old tired operating system

A john deere model H's nickname is a Johhny popper, this name comes from the fact that athe engine, while having 12 horsepower, only has 2 cylinders, meaning the exaust will sound like a bunch of 'popping' going on all at once. as you might imaging this scares ponies, dispite the technoligical advancement.

just some drabble, (in other words a complete and utter crackfick. No real value is here. There are a lot of errors you may comment about, just don't be rude about a story I put as much value in one would put into a turd on side of a road)
Though thanks to scarfox 9700, seemingly the only one who shares the interest in antique machinery and copius amounts of destruction

Think dad has a couple of those or at least similar models. I sure recognize the grill and the sound. Not exactly what I expected to see today but quite interesting regardless.

The modern safety standards would be out the window with a great many older model tractors. We have a few where the shaft is just right out in the open spinning freely just behind the engine. Those two U joints will easily rip your arm to pieces if you got anywhere close to it or got a shirt caught up in it.

same way with the farmall cub that larry has, the bell housing has no oil pan and only has a hole in the bottom for any condensate to make there way out. That hole you do not stick you finger inside during operation. I once stuck my finger inside when the tractor was off and I could feel the flywheel gears. yeah, that is a good way to lose a finger.
same way with the fan on both tractors, the fan is exposed and easily accessible, a little sense and you can easily avoid a missing hand, however all it takes is one idiot and you go yourself a lawsuit

When I was young, my family inherited a 1951 John Deere A. I know this sound very well.
