so cleared of crimes, the school board cannot rehire her? .. Neighsay? Its his fault for sure

Neighsay is possibly, and even likely, part of the problem. Got to admit, though, the situation is pretty complicated. Rehiring an ex-con, even one cleared of charges, can be a touchy subject in a public school situation, especially one that already had a rocky reputation. Personally, however, Caonterlot High looks like a blast to attend, especially while the "Mane" 6 were attending because they have a fun and uplifting attitude for the school spirit of the campus.
You know, a lot of people complained about the quality of "Spring Breakdown" episode, but very quickly I thought with a jealous frown, "Huh. I wish my school when on a yacht for a Spring vacation." That is the episode that finally made me realize, "Wow! These girls are having a lot of fun in their lives despite their problems."
A rather wholeome chapter I must say.
That is wierd, but at least Sombra got kind of a redemption.
Song and dance number... I wonder if she had Princess Twilight's help with that.
I wanna see that. The prisoners and guards must have been very confused by that.
Aww, its like Cozy had a second mother all along. Twilight has some competition it seams!

The justice system is stupid anyway, it isn't really rehabilitating if the ex-cons guilty or not won't be given jobs by the public due to past transgression.. its counterproductive.
If you want them to stop committing crimes, treat them like human and still give them a chance to provide for themselves.. the stores that don't hire ex cons have increase the possibility they return to their life of crimes

PS: If Cozy's still smart, she use her hacking skills to expunge Sunset's criminal records. Even if people know she went to jail its never in her record and she can be hired.
Knowing Neighsay, he uses the record as kind of blackmail or whatever to make sure Sunset doesn't get a job ever... so Cozy pulling strings to expunge it gives him no ammo

Believe it or not, this outcome surprised me too. i thought the last chapter would end differently, but instead, the circumstances put Sombra to rest. He's kind of like a new split personality that got merged into Cozy. The two are now indistinct from each other, except with no emotion in his history, Cozy feels ten times more real.
I agree.
Pretty much every single successful political move I've seen from the show occurred with a successful musical number. I've seen it fail too, but it seems to me any serious politician in a universe like this has got to be a performer. In my eyes, I'm just being faithful to the source material.
That's just how I imagine Sunset in a situation like this after she recovers from her initial depression. I think Sunset would pump her fists in front of her face and remind herself who she really is. To be true to herself, she'd try to win allies on her side, even while trapped in a very hostile situation. In my eyes, it speaks volumes about her character, and remember that this is the adult version of Sunny. i think she's even more confident about who she is. With the heart of a hero, shed bravely try the best she can to make things better no matter what situation she finds herself in. Do you agree?
Yes. Cozy is just starting to realize how blessed her life really is. There are many in her life that really care for her irregardless of the history of her counterpart. Once she fully realizes and accepts that, she can gain the motivation and strength necessary to become a better person, and that, of course, is something I've been building this whole story towards. Dramatic change does not occur overnight. it takes time and it needs lots of reasons. Everything she learned throughout the story has been building up to this. Despite her hostile intentions, she actually has been a hero to some, like Diamond Tiara. Now it's Cozy that needs the support, so her friends won't let her down, including those she thought would forsake her under these circumstances, but again, to be faithful to the source material, I have to remind myself the theme of the show and that fact she was raised by a very forgiving group who also loves her.

You might still understand why some people might feel cautious to hire an ex-con to look after those who are most precious to them, their children. I also agree with you. If everyone kept bashing Sunset during Rainbow Rocks movie and nobody was on her side, it's too easy to believe Sunset would have fallen back to her old ways. Same thing goes for Starlight Glimmer. If everyone condemned her for her crimes all the time, she wouldn't gain the motivation to make a serious change.
There is no easy answer. LIfe is complicated sometimes, and I wanted to show that in this story too to showcase that edge of realism which also shows the conflict of the story.
Another question worth asking is, after all that Sunset went through, does she still want her old job back?
From the School Boards perspective, I think they'd feel uncomfortable and cautious. From the principal and students at Canterlot's perspective, they would love to have Sunny back, because in this story she's been an awesome teacher. One of the best Canterlot ever had.
That's another thing I thought was realistic for the character given what I've known about her. After everything she went through and learned, I think she would be eager to share her knowledge so that everyone can benifit from her lessons.
As for Cozy, she's has a lot of healing she needs to do. Furthermore, now that she's been discovered to be a computer hacker, I can expect some cautious repercussions to come out of that, otherwise you have a point. From Cozy's perspective, I can at least see a motive. Basically to make up for her mistakes against Sunny, a crime she committed that really tore her heart up. Regardless of digital tampering, however, Sunny's arrest was public knowledge. Without Equestrian magic, she can't force everyone to forget about that fact. With Sombra's knowledge in her head, I can't say that option is completely off the table, but Cozy wants to become a better person now. Both her own experience with him and her own knowledge of his history reinforce a lesson to her about what doesn't work in life. Dark magic comes with a heavy dark cost. That is absolutely clear to her now.
