Well clearly Starlight's plans for Ametrine were for her to become more mortal and actually be apart of the company of her own free will. Because her hate for Blueblood without it would likely result in betrayal at some point and the doom of all their efforts.
The price paid for it through... It is difficult for one to justify it unless we have an idea of just how badly things might have gone otherwise. After all, was Zecora's fleshform really needed for all this if the other four could have easily filled the role?
The twitching concerns me. I know pony ears are much more mobile than humans, but the relevant muscles are still at the base of the thing. (Of course, there may be less purely biological reasons for the twitching...)
Not so much a lie as an unrelated but true statement placed in deceptive proximity to the question.
I do still love how Blueblood actually found leverage over the insidious voice in his head.
Ah. Getting by on a technicality.
Hell of a lesson by counterexample, Starlight. Ametrine will certainly never forget it, but the cost of tuition is steep indeed.
"All the decadent horrors I've seen pale in comparison to that final crowning thing... I could not look, nor could I look away..."

I believe I told my editor that this would result in the passive-aggressive death of the entire company.
But what do you consider to be losses that wouldn’t have happened otherwise?
Kinda hard to let just one out. Never said Blueblood was smart for shoving them all into the same container.

Ummmmm... The flesh is immortal! It is undying!
Yeah, that was more of a deflection than an outright lie.
Blueblood is a politician, first and foremost. Shocking opponents into silence is his bread & butter. And if that doesn’t work, he can just shove his sword through them while the rest of the council shouts in alarm.
You are technically correct; the best kind of correct.
The tuition is indeed high, but have you compared it to that of other institutions?

In all my terrible researches, what I sought was a glimpse behind the veil, a—ok, put the veil back, I’m good for now.
Ah yes, the crisis intensifies.

Strangely, I'm not sure if you intend to answer this or not but... why is the Zecora's fleshform more put together then her 'sisters' (with the exception of Ametrine, of course) when she was arguably the youngest of the five?

The answer you seek is explicitly stated next chapter.
Vinyl's death really could've used her dropping a fate-tempting quip while stupidly not moving out of danger, just like when she nearly died to her those falling pillars. It just seemed odd the way it was done in the middle of a sentence by another pony.
