Sooo...the Comet is getting involved too. And the good guys are accepting its "gifts" unaware of the origin.
Just like with Ametrine, using the tools of the enemy against itself may come to bite your ass.

For what it's worth, I don't think Ametrine hates the rest of the company enough to be a threat to them. Yes she's dangerous, but her grudge is with Blueblood.
I'm actually kind of hoping that Tempest decides to rope Twilight into helping out Ametrine's new sisters through. Because Blueblood is a bit... distracted at the moment.
Also, I cannot help but ask myself why Starlight deemed the death of Zecora and the maiming of Shining to be for the best... unless the point was to try and save Twilight. Because Twilight was also in a dire situation when Zecora was offered up as a more tempting target...
A gunblade named Squall. Real subtle.
Ah, the classic "I shouldn't have to say I love her; she should know it" problem. A few kind words can go a long way, Blueblood. Though given Starlight's involvement, if he ever does learn that lesson, it'll be far too late.
Wait, Pinkie's a god in this setting? (Artist's depiction.)
Reading the narration is cheating, Starlight.
Speaking of Pies...
Heck of a detail to drop so casually.
"There are acts too horrific for even the most jaded mind to contemplate. And that? That's just nasty."
—The Ancestor, probably
This is only going to get worse from here. But given the source material, that was a given.

Ametrine is willing to participate in a plan involving bringing the Hamlet and everything else to ruin, just for the sake of owning Blueblood. She is a threat to the company.

Yes, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Starlight was lying to her in order to convince her to take a 'wait and see' approach to things. After all, just because Starlight can see the future doesn't mean she has to tell the truth about what she saw. Even more so if it means tricking someone into serving her purpose of saving the world.

This is a good point.

Ametrine is not necessarily the most stable of individuals.
Tempest will get along with them just fine. I mean, she only beat one straight into unconsciousness, I’m sure they’ll get over it.

In my Gdocs copy of this chapter, the line with that name was highlighted with a comment that just said: “GROAN.” I think I heard Coffee make the noise from hundreds of miles away.
Blueblood is too used to his endless string of one-night stands. He was on track to catch up with Wilt Chamberlain in that department.
I was thinking more... spikeybits.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Screenshot_322.jpg
“I lost? Wait I’m not supposed to lose! Let me check the script!”
Rock beats paper.
Two words: Badlands Butcher
“You still foolishly consider yourself an entity separate from the whole—Ummm what are you two—OK, I’m out! Nope, nope, nope! I can take the whole flesh-melding heart of the world thing, but when I became an avatar of the crawling chaos, I didn’t sign up for this!
Best Pony did say that in the prologue to this arc, didn’t she?

I mean to be fair, who hasn't Tempest beaten up at some point? You know, apart from all the people who are afraid she'll do it.
10535683
Except those she’s beaten up already are probably still scared about being beaten up by her.

Also, I didn’t answer your third paragraph here because mega spoilers.
Tempest Shadow annoys me. Her 'invincible asshole pushing everyone around' act is getting tired. With everything going on, I'm increasingly interested in just someone shutting her up. And I know that's not a good sign because there IS so much going on that isn't how grating Tempest Shadow is. Yet that's really what I want the most at the moment. Somebody taking her down a peg or two. In a way that isn't turned into some self-important martyr session.
Sorry for the rant there.

Well, your reaction there is actually pretty understandable. She’s meant to be grating. That’s kinda what she’s there for. Tempest is a stark contrast to the others who are building (mostly positive) relationships within the company. All in all, I didn’t think I’d made her too far removed from her movie depiction: abrasively authoritative, unflinchingly arrogant, and (worst of all) strong enough that no one can, or really wants to, do anything about it.
To attempt to allay some of your fears, I’ll right-out say that she’s not unbeatable. Tempest has served in multiple military campaigns and is a seasoned combat veteran. She’s just seems invincible compared to a bunch of fresh mercenaries who have only seen a few months of action.

For my own part, I think her being grating was done okay, but I have another related issue with her: She's a little bit too good at both collecting evidence and inferring from it, and is missing some of the more "human" moments. We get so many glimpses of Blueblood's vices, but Tempest is portrayed as if she simply storms from room to room commanding everything and knowing exactly what's going on at all times; it's a very larger-than-life approach to character that makes them seem unreal. This is probably a result of pushing a little too hard in trying to make her grating and a foil for Blueblood, combined with writing habits that come from things like Star Trek's portrayal of bridge officers (they're almost always ridiculously perfect, even their supposed flaws seem like masterminded behavior).
A little bit of her talking to others to get extra info and perspective before coming to conclusions, and her actually having things she does for fun (or little moments of physical issues, akin to Blueblood being implied to not wipe very well) would go a long way to make her feel like a real character and not a plot device, without removing her gratingness.
Also, personally, Ametrine to me is more grating. She acts like an utter child. I assume this is because she only has a vague imprint of Amethyst, and is otherwise mostly formed from Blueblood's desires, and ultimately she is basically a newborn. Still, it feels a bit like it's sucking all the impact out of the drama of her situation, and retroactively tarnishing the Amethyst stuff, it could've done with (at least by this point, not sure if this comes later) an implication that much of Amethyst's mind is really in there, perhaps formed over time from various townsponie's memories of Amethyst leeching in, with the childishness a sort of madness created to deal with the situation of half a holy vestal now being an eldritch abomination and glorified combination sex toy and video chat system working for a corrupt monarch line, with no hope of salvation, forever damned.
