It is funny, for "privet" is an actual English word.
Isn't it supposed to be pronounced as in "spuh-see-bo"? With a short "u"? As in "spun"? Or "pun"? Or "punny" (as opposed to "puny")? Or did you want to go with transliteration and make it "spasibo"?
Also: why "on Russian"? Was that intentional, or are you secretly a Russian as well?
