What i'm saying to say is it is similar and has the makings of a displaced story, but it isn't. BUT! that could change in the coming chapters, im hoping to make it a displaced story but this is my first one if it does become one. And besides, i don't know how all the displaced stories work, i know the character goes to convention and ends up in equestria after buying something from the merchant and becoming what or who they dressed up as and find tokens of other displaced, that's about all i know about displaced stories.

Based on the generally negative bias towards the Displaced genre (some like it, a lot don't), I'd advise against making a Displaced story as your first one. I know that they're easy to do, which makes them attractive to new writers, but that's the only advantage; go with something not so formulaic and predictable and you'll receive a more positive response. Good luck.
While you claim it is not a Displaced story, it does seem to follow the lore aka comicon, merchant, go to equestria as different character, etc. Only things missing in your story is the void, tokens, multiverse, and lastly (but not required) crossovers.
awesome and in my books it's a displaced story in the rule of art not as all the last displaced story. seriously they aren't displaced story they are HIE not displaced

I wanted to make it like my character went to a costume party with friends and ended up getting drunk and blacking, then waking up in equestria with no explanation, but i already posted it the way it is so i decided to roll with it. Though i might edit the chapter to where he went to a party instead and leave the rest the way it is.

I wanted this to be a HIE, but he's not human anymore but still. Also the displaced ARE basically HIE, but can travel and be called to other versions of MLP by other HIE.
