Good story so far! Just the over-abundance of random caps that are a bit bothersome, but the story's interesting and I'll keep and eye out for future updates.
Also, might not seem like a big deal but don't forget to put a space between your three dots and the next word, otherwise it'll only be counted as one word instead of two.
Also, the ponies in the cover art are actually Nestor Lunin of Stalliongrad and his waifu (maybe?), so that might confuse a few, but eh, doesn't matter. Thumbs up!

Neat! Never Realized the two mares actually had names before I requested the artwork for the cover from the artist. But, eh, I suppose it's just small things.
As for your kind criticism, I am constantly improving, so I promise future chapters will be improved. and I also hope to edit a few parts of some of these chapters along the way, to smooth over the rough edges., so thank you for the advice.

I honestly don't know...
I remember thinking at the time that I wanted to properly convey what a full-on battle would feel like from the POV of a foot grunt if they were in something as hectic as what they were in:
An enduring confrontation, with a seemingly endless series of skirmishes to follow suit. Where it is fatiguing and grueling and time-consuming to experience it.
In hindsight, it was a poor decision to have the reader kind of suffer along with it. I am definitely thinking on revising that chapter somehow...
