Show, Don't Tell is ignored and for the strangest reason I'm picturing a fedora clad Control Freak (Teen Titans "antagonist") as the author.
The "OC" takes the arbitrary chain of events with little fuss (among other Sue-ish qualities), the requisite tag salad is present, there are elementary English errors (since/sense), neckbeard cliches (An eye twitch at a name?), and the colored text is unnecessary and does reader immersion no favors.
...
There doesn't seem to be any Human/Animal Waifu cringe, so kudos on that one. There's also much worse cover art on this site (kek).
