He wears a Great helm with steel gauntlets and vambraces, along with steel greaves that are strapped around his boots (note the greaves are not cased). Theres no particular relation to any historical examples of early plate additives for reasons that will be explained later. I guess it'd be easier to envision him as a late 13th century knight. Sorry for any confusion.
