This is a story that focuses on equestria as it was many many moons ago and the royal family's relationship to Starswirl the bearded.

Dear King Sol and Queen Mona,
Wherever you are I hope you are safe. Please know that your daughters will be safe in my care, and I will protect them.
After you left things changed here, the land has become much bleaker and more cold, our kind has been divided by hate and fear but things can and will change, I'll make sure of it.
