After botching an assassination attempt on a member of the Canterlot Royalty, a group of elusive, unscrupulous mercenaries is hunted relentlessly by a devout federal officer and his colleagues.
Even after the threat posed by the mercenaries is eliminated, Equestria and its inhabitants are not safe. Many dangers - some old and some new - start to arise all over the country. But even in the midst of all this turmoil, ponies find that they can get through these hard times by having faith in their neighbors and confiding in their loved ones.
