Omare Bradley

I like stories about war I also like stories about ponies, so why not write about both!

Canterlot is now an embattled city. Equestrian soldiers fight a furious street to street battle against an enemy that feels no fear. The peace that Equestria has known for so long has been shattered.

Chrysalis is confident in her victory and is preparing to expand her empire to the territories beyond Canterlot. Luna and Cadence are determined to defeat the dark queen at all costs. Cadence must now prove herself as a princess and rally the ponies of Equestria to overcome the changeling swarm. Meanwhile Luna and the remnants of the Equestrian military take the fight to Chrysalis in the war torn streets of Canterlot.

The days coming will be some of the darkest in Equestrian history. Chrysalis’s swarms are vast and seemingly invincible. Equestria’s ponies need to stop the invaders quickly or their nation will cease to exist.

...... six untrained combatants overpowered dozens of changelings.
the idea that they would be consdiered invincible is more than slightly implausible.

6272529 The show also has a cut scene in which we see two royal guards being captured by Changelings. The mane six were also eventually captured. The changelings have quantity not quality. No where in this story are they shown as invincible. The only one that is supremely strong in my story is Chrysalis and in the show she was shown to be stronger then Celestia so that does make sense. Also in the show they were seen to have conquered most of the city. In my story its already been shown that the average pony could kill a changeling, the problem is theres so damn many of them. Twilight and her friends may be untrained but they clearly have abilities that outclass normal ponies. My theory is that the elements of harmony make them stronger then normal when they are together. I really don't think my ideas are too implausible after all in the show everyone besides Twilight and her friends were defeated by the Changelings. I appreciate your feedback and feel free to poke holes in my logic here, I started writing stories for this website as I wanted to become a better writer so I will appreciate any criticism.

6272643 siiiighs. and the flawed logic is used once again.

the error with the hwole chrysalis beat celestia is that chrysalis Herself admits it was a fluke, a stroke of luck on her part. she had fed glutonously on the lovesick shining armor, and it gave her a temporary boost in her power. Just enough to overpower celestia from the looks of it.
In other words that is neither a power that she could normally sustain let alone retain. If they need to eat love, they are likely processing that energy in some way to maintain their lives. thus she would be constantly digesting the energy she stole.
were it a case of just needing to collect a large amount of love them she could ahve just done that and then attacked, instead she had to rely on secrecy.

6272736 I don't think the boost was temporary. I'm assuming that her absorbing love is much like Tirek absorbing magic. Tirek kept all of his powers so wouldn't it be safe to assume that Chrysalis could keep all her powers after draining a pony of their love

6272760 tirek stole the very core of magic from others. integrated it into his own body.

chrysalis jsut ate energy from shining armor. considering her sitl lhad magic, cutie mark, etc.

another great story. do hope to see more soon.

gota say that twlight may be hard to persuade to fight with the intent to kill. in the show it shows her basically stunning the changelings and I would I think be against killing. but there would be a couple of way to convince her to kill. do look forward to next chapter.

6273550 Yeah, but they do have her brother plus she is going to be trained as a soldier soon so it will harden her personality.

6272803 Still in the show you never see Queen Chrysalis lose her powers. We do however see her changeling swarm overwhelming the city and we also see her defeat Celestia. All your theories and mine are based off our own personal fanon. Therefore it doesn't matter. Your imagination doesn't take precedence over mine, however you have actually given me some good ideas based off some of your statements so again the criticism was constructive thank you.

6274522 it is not really fanon, its analysis.

though let us say its fanon. yours is born of inductive reasoning and such. you are only taking in the information you see o nthe surface.
i am using deductive reasoning, trying to pick apart the events before making a conclusion.
put simply deductive reasoning provides more informaiton.

And as soon as she gets there, she's going to be accused of being a changeling. After all, she was one for the whole wedding.
