Twilight Velvet knows that her daughter cares about her studies more than she cares about making friends. While Twilight Sparkle has a day off, her mother decides that it's time that she takes her head out of the books and tries to meet new people.
What happens next helps Twilight learn her very first lesson in Friendship.

I didn't find that much wrong with this story (not that I really looked) but it probably could have made itself a bit more... impactful, I guess. Still, I found myself enjoying this one.

Yeah, I realized the night of the deadline for the contest that I had totally forgotten to write a fic, so I pumped this one out in like, 3 hours. I wish I would have thought ahead so I could have done some editing/made some changes. But with the time I put into it, I'm glad it came out alright at least. I'll make sure to put much more time into my next one!
I enjoyed this! It was very cute, although it has the one flaw in it: after all the buildup in this story, you realize that Twilight was just going to give Smarty Pants away to the CMC and then let Big Mac keep it.
Still, as I said, I thought it was cute, and the idea that she named her doll after a real
personpony was a neat twist. Nice job!This should totally be featured.
