Off to the side, a picture of the classic team of the Wonderbolts hung on the wall. Everypony except for Surprise had their faces revealed, with a pink pegasus with a messy blue mane wrapping her hoof around the pony in uniform, smiling happily as the picture was taken.

Is that supposed to be firefly? You should take some time to set up the importance of that because I have no clue why you put that in there or what it even means.

4743375 It's not so much that it's important but it's a callback to the fact that Surprise and Firefly are both G1 ponies so they would be in the same generation of the Wonderbolts.

I also contribute to the fact that being the inspiration for Rainbow Dash, Firefly is also her mother.

However, for the picture, it's a small tidbit I wanted to end on for that family feel. I apologies if I made you dwell too much on the ambiguity and detracted from your enjoyment of the story.
