The Return

Many years later after the purple and green dragon had taken off, much has changed for the group of friends. Rarity had spoken since the dragon's departure. The rainbow pegasus, Rainbow Dash, and the farmer, AppleJack, married and had adopted Scootaloo as their child. The yellow and pink pegasus, Fluttershy, had married to a unicorn she had met while at Sugar Cube Corner one time. Pinkie...well no one can truely say anythingwas different with her. She remained single and as crazy as ever. She settled down a little, her energy not as active but not too much different since she fostered the Pounds' children after a horrible tragedy.

It is not Midsummer's Eve, nearly 20 years after the departure. Rarity was examining herself in the mirror of her room. She was in a beautiful dress made of a light purple and emeralds lining the seems. She turned her head at the noise of her door opening. It was Sweetie Belle, now a mare herself, walking in to check on her older sister.

"Wow Rarity! You look so beautiful in that dress! You almost look like...." Sweetie Belle swallowed her words as she saw her sister's haunted look. /Of course she made it that way, she still remembers him./ Sweetie thought to herself as she stood beside her sister in the mirror. She put on a smile for the sake of her older sister.

Rarity glanced at her younger sister in amazement. She had lost track of time, never noticing as her little sister grew into a beautiful mare in her own right. The sisters looked at the door as a gruff but gentle voice called up to them. "C'mon gals, the ceremony is going to start soon if you don't hurry your flanks."

Sweetie Belle just giggled and called back to the voice. "Careful there or we might just jump out the window!" They both knew they wouldnt but it was a good laugh all in itself. They both giggled in amusement at the laughter that answered Sweetie.

Rarity nodded to her sister, agreeing that they should go now after the laughter died down. She quickly dressed Sweetie Belle in a dress she had made that complimented the fairness of her coat and the glimmer she always had in her eyes. They hugged and walked back downstairs together. The stallion waiting down below gasped at the sight of the sisters. He smiled and bowed at them. "If I didn't know ya better, I'd a think you two would be a princesses."

The stallion had a farmer's accent, though Rarity didnt remember his name or where he came from, she observed he was a strong and handsome stallion. They all walked out and towards the town's center, Sweetie Belle and her stallion staying close together. Rarity jsut sighed, knowing it would be just another lonely sunrise.

They arrived at the building, tallest in the entire town of Ponyville. They were all standing outside, the AC had broke within the building and the Princesses decide to stay outside since it was a lovely evening. Rarity walked over to her friends and examined them all as they were. Over time each ahd their own love for their own.

Twilight had been changed into an Alicorn after a long journey she had to undergo. She proved herself and had taken her place with the other Princesses on the podium. She never found her a love but remained as Princess of Knowledge as the ponies around Ponyville teasingly called her. It never bothered her, she loved her books.

Granny Smith had passed away years ago and Applejack had taken over the buisiness of the farm. One year, when Big Macintosh had been sick and hurt, Applejack had been doing the bucking season all by herself. She had been collasping with exhaustion after a week. Rainbow Dash had noticed this and started helping, easily bucking the trees as AppleJack collected them. They hung out long after that and fell in love.

Pinkie Pie has calmed down slightly since Spike left. She was still the life of the party but sometime after Spike left Pinkie disappeared for a few weeks. When she returned, she wasn't as active anymore but she still managed to make everypony smile and laugh but there was always this look on Pinkie's eyes. We quiestioned her on it a few times but she had just easily distracted us with off answers or random thoughts so we gave up long ago.

Fluttershy had gotten the attention of a handsome Pegasus that had been visiting from a land far off and they fell quickly in love. Fluttershy was still shy as ever but she loved her pets more then anything. Though her beloved Angel had passed away long long ago, it didnt stop her from tending the animals around town.

Rarity looked up as the ceremony started. The Mayor gave a long speech about the honour that Ponyville had for hosting this year's Summer Sun Celebration. Then she passed the attention to the Princesses. They thanked everypony and annouced the start of Summer. They started raising the sun and lowering the moon. But something strange happened.

Everypony saw that Celestia was raising the sun but it only grew darker. When everypony was confused, a huge roar reverberated through the crowd and everypony yelled in fear. They ran around quickly but Rarity watched where the sun was supposed to be. There was a figure blocking the sun!

The figure approached the crowd and landed not far, towering high over all the ponies. Rarity looked up and started noticong the shades of colors despite the dimness the figure created. Everypony froze, afraid to move. Rarity suddenly screamed. "YOU UNGRATEFUL LITTLE DRAGON!" Everypony watched as ashe ran up to the dragon and weakly hit his scales.

"YOU LEAVE US ALL ALONE, NOT LETTING ME SAY MY FEELINGS AND NOW YOU DECIDE YOU JUST RETURN? DO YOU NOT REALISE THE PAIN YOU CAUSED ME?!" Rarity screamed at him as the Princesses started to notice who it was. The dragon picked up Rarity and held her in a hug. They both cried and everypony relaxed as Princess Celestia announced it. "Everypony you may calm down, it is just the return of our beloved Princess Twilight's companion, Spike!" Everypony cheered but Spike and Rarity never noticed them. They just held onto eachother.

Later that evening, Spike was laying just outside Rarity's boutique as she worked inside, smiling and talking. Spike just listened, a smile bright in his slitted eyes. Finally Rarity smiled at him from her work desk. "I love you Spike." Spike grinned and nodded. "And I love you Rarity."

Not a bad concept if a little short, but the writing has a lot of problems, particularly in the second part.

Oh my god dude, you were serious. I feel kind of bad now but you need a proof reader, there are a lot of grammatical errors and there wasn't a lot of content at all. I think you should continue writing like this and just pass it off as a parody of sorts because I just cannot stop laughing at this.

Great concept, decent work.
I enjoyed the story as a simple little tale, but it requires more substance to be truly good.

I was going for a short story with little substance anyways, it was meant as general concept of the love between Spike and Rarity. Though I admit it was a bit bad, but I feel I could stretch it into a huge chapter story if I wished but I just wanted a short, sweet story. Maybe my next story will be longer, have substance, and might be better. Not the best writer, that I admit but I can be decent when I try. Didn't try too hard on this one.=
