As the last Big Daddy left in all of Rapture, loneliness had become a constant companion of mine. No memories, no voice, not even a face that I could call my own. I thought it would be like this for my entire existence in Rapture... At least, until

The chapter was enjoyable, keep up the good work.
I may be talking out of my ass here... and my brain usually tries to make these sorts of comparisons, usually wrongly, but...
Is Echo perhaps a potential bearer of Loyalty?
Also: Omega, one of the rules of FPS games is that you have a much easier time using the same ammo type as your enemy because they keep bringing you more of it. You should've heeded it
Awwwww Echo, you big lug! Omega really needs to start showing the big guy some respect from now on, he does after all see Omega as a friend.
Adam imbalance? Anyone here know what that entails?
The Protectors of Harmony , Six Big Daddy´s protecting the Mane 6. Thats would be cool to see, and also..... what you mean that you need us bright?
I think its been some time since they last talked to Twilight and the others....Siedon's going to pitch a fit seeing that...
Didn't Omega pass up a perfectly good revolver, some chapters back?

Another reason the choices made matter xD
6257935
Still think he should have taken both.
I've been wondering this too since I'm reading how hard it is for Omega to find rivets. Where does a blind Big Daddy get his ammo when he runs out?
Isn't rule #1 in concussion 101 is to NOT fall asleep?
6255345 Not from a single round, at least two or three perhaps but not one.
6258354
Actually, that's been disproven. By several sources in fact.

This is just one of them.
thanks for the update!!!!
Another wonderful chapter, I can't wait to see the confrontation with Gamma
Shotgun want there ,;-; I miss it already, but I won't lie, the big old machine gun got me through the game...

I wish it were so simple for me. XD
I've been using the actual Bioshock 2 game for reference while I write this, and, alongside that, I've been doing an Omega play through. (No respawns, Rivet Gun and Melee only, Hardest Difficulty, same plasmids and gene tonic-which I modded to get some of them earlier-etc.)
As you can imagine, it ain't that easy. XD
6274261
I think it's harder to do hardest with drill only, took me a couple weeks to ace it
As always I loved the chapter. However I have often wondered why Omega doesn't use some of the leadhead splicer's weapons, expend the usable ammo, then discard it. This way he could save some of his ammo, while losing no room in his pack, as he won't keep the weapon.
However at the same time I enjoy the limit of only using the Rivet gun. It adds a lot more drama to the story when ammo is sparse.
By the way I'm still loving the interactions with the characters. I can't wait to see how Omega's and Echo's relationship evolves.

Actually, as presented in Bioshock 1, shortly before entering the big daddy training grounds, the little sisters were often seen, through hallucinations of the past, to be in the rooms there, seemingly waiting for something. Etched on the walls and floors are phrases like 'I'll be a good girl! I don't wanna say night-night!' and there's even a hallucination in which you see a little sister attempt to crawl away from you, saying she 'doesn't want to go on the table'. (This same table is bloodied to the point that its practically all red, with restraints on it.)
While, yes, the little sisters are meant to stay alive for a period of time, gathering ADAM and the like, it was not them that actually held this ADAM. They worked as a symbiotic relationship. Using their needles, they would gather the blood of 'angels', often laced with ADAM, and feed the slug withinn their bodies. These slugs would then build up an excess of ADAM, and, as such, spread it into their host's body in return for nutrients. However, this ADAM was not 'extractable' through average means. The blood, vomit, and other excretions possible from little sisters were found to be unstable, and had ill results. So, tenenbaum conclided that the only logical way to get this ADAM would be from the source. I.E. the removal of the slug, and death of the host.
'Like taking a patient off life support' a certain mad doctor quoted from tenenbaum when asked of this.
However, as many of us who have played the game know by now, there was soon another way...
A plasmid made specifically for the safe 'curing' of a little sister... If you can call it that, technically.
The plasmid would, essentially, transfer the excess of ADAM from the little sister's bodies--in other words, from the slug--allowing the slug itself to lack the need to actually spread any more of its ADAM into the body of the little sister. Though the slug never necessarily dies, living the rest of its life using the nutrients within the body of the host to live without building an excess anymore, it still remains in the host, who, by that point, no longer feels the need to gather. As a result, it enters a sort of hibernative state, leaving the girls they were within as close to human as they could get, though always with that gnawing craving to gather in the back of ttheir heads. This craving is even stronger for big sisters, who are not allowed to gather, being forced to grow and repress these feelings.
... Wow, I'm getting slightly off topic.
The point is that, unfortunately, little sisters are... doomed from the start...
That is the reason Andrew, Fontaine, and others eventually began to abduct little girls. Not only because splicers were getting some little sisters, but also because, those that did succeed in their duties to gather, were only rewarded with the bliss of death...
Annnnnnnnnd I made myself sad... Great...
Anyways, I hope that clears things up a bit. If you have any other questions or uncertainties, feel free to message me or comment.

Similarly though, what I wrote in the other comment is one of the more accepted possible methods in the Bioshock community, much like your own. There has never really been any 100% certainty to it, so much as people just gather this from context.
Just figured I'd add this in as a sort of... Disclaimer? I'm not sure.
Either way, that's pretty much that for me.
Okay, been reading through this story. I really enjoy it, how the tone of Rapture and its atmosphere is used. I like the characters, the action scenes, and the interactions. Kudos to all of that.
But, If you'll indulge me, I do feel a desire to point out a few things I don't like. It is nothing against this story, but these points stick out to me, probably more due to reading through this entire thing about three times now. Do understand this is my opinion and nothing more.
1. Viewpoints: Omega and all the other rapture characters have interesting viewpoints, and the main viewpoint is Omega, which is fine. But since they started on their expeditions to escape Rapture, the only time the viewpoint seems to swing to Rarity or Fluttershy is when Omega is out of commission. And almost always it is more the viewpoint of an observer, and not from either ponies specifically. I don't mind this a ton, I just wish we could get the other main characters viewpoints a bit and not just Omega's.
2. Rarity's odd lust over Omega: I don't really get this one, and I think its mainly due to not getting a viewpoint from Rarity. She seems extremely attracted to Omega's form, but there is never a reason for it. Would she be attracted to a pony who shaves off all its fur? Because that is a more likely scenario. ^-^;;
Fluttershy seems to have something, but it can be just as easily explained as her love of animals of all shapes and sizes and not actual lustful interest. Again, her side is never fully explained either so I can only assume she isn't interested in him in that way.
3. The uselessness of Rarity and Fluttershy: This gets me the most, they literally are doing nothing while Omega is constantly getting his ass handed to him. While that made tons and tons of send in the beginning, you have stated how they actually joke around and act normal despite being covered in blood by this point. They also grimace a little, but for the most part don't really pay attention to the dead splicers everywhere.
I know they aren't combat capable in the least, but Fluttershy always standing in the back and watching her friends get hurt doesn't seem like her. They seem over their intense fear now, so you'd think they would be starting to feel very frustrated at doing nothing but watch Omega get pummeled trying to save them. I just dislike the 'helpless Princess' vibe I am getting from them in each combat as this story continues on. Throw something, get their attention! Make an effort you two!
Okay, so, yeah. Like I said before, I really like this story, and have read through it about three times now, its going to make me wind up playing through Bioshock 1 and 2 again. And I am looking forward to what happens next in the story. These are just little gripes I have and only stand out due to how good the rest of the story is.
Hope this wasn't too rambling, or negative sounding.
6379406 Point being, he's a Big Daddy so he needs to fucking act like it.
6382498 Cool, I thought it was something like that.
Am I the only one who keeps hearing The Iron Giant whenever Echo speaks? Or a slow-thinking Nautilus?
hey when will the next chapter be out

It has been sent out to editing and proof-reading now my friend!
