Only issue I see is the chapters are just so short. Beyond that I see no real issues even using German gear for Equestria and I am guessing Russian for the enemys gear. Which is kind of too bad, I always figured it would be hilarious to see Luna with a Thompson SMG. Here is hoping you update more often than once a quarter!

German gear and very British methodology of command and buying rank I am seeing. The fact you have tanks will keep this from devolving into trench warfare. I actually enjoy stories like this, keep it coming.

5367411 funny, real funny. Then again there was plenty of trench warfare in Leningrad and Stalingrad. Some of which got down right ridicuilus in its complexity. And tanks never did well in citys or built up areas. So have some trench warfare, its all good.

Grim taste of first combat. And I am not suprised she is having second thoughts. Most people would when they live a life of happyness and rainbows then see people turned to bloody hamburger.
Only real issue I have is where are they getting there tanks? If this is a civil war shouldn't they be using the same armor that the Equestrians are using and not all new designs? I can understand small arms and Katyushas as being both independant designs and relativly easy modification to a truck. But KV-1's and T-34's are pretty complicated things.

5485368 If there numbers were limited or it was pointed out that some of the tanks were built in modified tractor factories (many a russian tank was) then its a way of getting around some of that plot hole. Or creating a savant who came up with or bulldogged russian style gear into production. Rifle production is easy, just say that russian style gear and german style gear were initially the same but with diffrent stylings and soon changed to diffrent styles due to logistic issues.

The most obvious error in the story is that you don't know when to make new paragraphs. When you change the subject, or the speaker, you make a new paragraph.
That means this:
should be more like this:
this is not the only problem with the writing, but the most obvious.
