David Brony

I speak to myself, hate the other me, despise melodrama, and am a lovely little ball of pessimistic sunshine. Also, I can't get anything done, as other me seems to hate me as much as I hate him.

I love that song!
Thumbs up for good taste.

3394929 Heh, thanks Soft Shell and I'm glad I got to publish this. I was worried it wouldn't pass (well it didn't the first time but my proofreader was great with handling it.

3394957 Sorry. "that the story wouldn't pass moderation" was what I meant :twilightsheepish:

3395024
You have to pass moderation to write a story?

P4

Omg, saw this in the new stories section and I immediately thought "your the piano man." Because of the title

3395057 When someone writes a story, it must pass through the moderators to be visible on FIMFiction. Some of the rules include a basic level of grammar, appropriate tags, and safe-for-work cover art (if you have any, that is). I've had ten stories pass the mods, and one was rejected for being rated Teen when it should have been Mature because of the themes in the story.

So my story about fred the sentient muffin,
desperately trying to survive inside derpys house,
Probly wont pass moderation?

3395322 That depends. I've seen fics with absolutely atrocious grammar pass. I'd take it to a prereader/editor.

And I just realized that the fic in question might be fake.

Thanks for answering. We already chatted about the answer, but you wrapped up the themes portion in a nicer bow. By the by, why did you delete your comment? I didn't get to see it. :raritydespair:

3395342
Oh no we've be found out!
Quick fred, to the Muffin Mobile!!

3395370 It was the same thing, but worded differently. I usually delete comments that I worded strangely as to make sure whoever I respond to sees what I actually wanted to say.

P.S. '>>name here' Going like this to reply to someone doesn't work (in the sense that it won't notify them of the reply). Comment replies work off of numbers, so click on the button on the comment you want to reply to that looks like a text bubble with dots in it to reply to someone. In the comment box, it'll say '>>(number)' and then, when you type and post your reply, it'll notify who you replied to that they were replied to.

3395433 I know how to properly reply:twistnerd:, I just thought I hit the reply button when I typed that up and didn't recognize my mistake until after I hit 'add comment':derpytongue2:. Sorry for the mixup, and I was about to simply send a message to your private inbox with the same comment when Soft Shell's comment showed up. I figured you would come to see his comment and by proxy, see mine. Again, I am truly apologetic about the whole thing.

Hoping I dissolved the issue,
David Brony:moustache:

3395524 No, it's cool. It takes a lot more than a well-made assumption (which I commend you for, by the way) to make me mad. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever been properly mad in years. I've been annoyed, sure. But I don't think I've been truly mad...hm.

have you heard of a fic called the Piano Mule?

3395561
I just finished reading it and I must say that I fell in love with it for a moment. :pinkiehappy:
I hadn't even thought of the prospect that others might have already done this when I wrote SUaS, and now I think I might want to change the Chapter title at the very least. For the reason as to why I wrote this, please refer to my blog post.
But to finish up, I had no knowledge of the other BJoel fanfics out there and I think the way Dragonas77 rewrote the lyrics was brilliant!

Sincerely humbled,
David Brony :moustache:

Man am I glad you weren't the first on this one. :trollestia:

3398764 wel nothing to do here

(Jet packs away)

3398760 As promised, I did come and read your spin on Billy Joel. I must say, its pretty good. You certainly didn't go the route I took, doing all the lyrics. You made it more about character interaction and the environment as opposed to the lyrics themselves.
I love seeing a different version of this, another point of view.

The only flaws I can find this are the strike through on cutie-mark, and 'JOHN', being written that way and always standing out.

Other than those rather minor things, great job.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Well done!:raritystarry:

Thank you very much!
This was really just a way to test my hoof at writing pony stories, so I'm glad to see I have a swimming chance when I post some of my other works!

Sincerely yours,
David Brony :moustache:

It's a good story, I really enjoyed its style!
