This can be good but the pacing was... too fast. You should slower it down. Also, we need character development. You sped through this by months and it doesn't give up the taste of these two's relationship. It's not bad, but it needs some tweaks and you'll have a pretty decent story. Not bad for a first story though...

I agree with Imagine, the pacing could be slowed down quite a bit, and maybe add a few scenes here and there, maybe detailing how Rainbow had her accident, moving into her new house, just her and Misty talking about things to develop both characters at once, etc. Split up the timeline of two years into smaller chunks, and you'd be golden. Also, just wanna add, that is one of the cleverest takes on a prompt that I've ever seen. Props to you!
