"Get lost,Nightmare moon! you don't belong on this world!"

"It is not by my hoof that I am returned from the moon to wreak havoc. I have returned to be shown tribute!"

"Tribute?! You steal Equestria's sun and make the ponies your slaves!"

"Perhaps the same could be said of all villains!"

Wow, the grammar and awkward sentences make this whole thing read like the intro to Castlevania 3. The dialogue is quite silly too. In fact all of the writing seems like it belongs in an NES game or a Konami game manual. Normally this would be a bad thing but in this case it is actually kind of brilliant. I don't know if it is intentional or not, but I want to see more. This gets a like and a fav.

A castlevania 3 based story.:yay: Looks like it might be interesting. Also I think your like one out of three whole people on this website that actually a castlevania based story/crossover.

2695264Thank you so much!!!
I don't know if everything was intentional. If you could be a little more specific, I could answer your question. This is supposed to be a comedy, so there is probably be some intentional silliness.

I'm just glade to see some more mlp fics involving one of my favorite game series.(pre-reboot i still on the fence about the los titles) Also did notice some of the sillyness in your story but I agree Beerforce on this. the fact you went a Konami game from nes era gives you bit of leeway when comes to the subject matter.(That and Konami always put a decent amount of humor in there games I.E. MGS,Goemon, ect so it works out pretty well)

2695299 I don't know how exactly to explain it. The way some of the sentences are worded just seem strange. The narration reminds me of the opening text scroll from Castlevania 3. There are some occasional errors, but most of the sentences are grammatically correct, if a bit odd. It is as if it were translated from Japanese by Konami in the '80s. The dialogue seems like it wouldn't be out of place in an NES game either. Or in the wonderfully hammy Castlevania Symphony of the Night. I can't imagine any normal person (or pony) saying some of these things. They sound like things a video game character would say though.

Also, Sparkle's actions and dialogue make it seem like she is aware that she is in a world that operates on video game logic instead of a serious quest to stop an evil, powerful foe.

2695380Well... the opening for Castlevania 3 was definitely intentional. But I was trying not to make it seem too much like a video game. You probably noticed that I left hearts out. That would have been just weird. "Oh, hey, I just got a heart, now I can use my side weapon." "Hey, I just got a double shot!" But I was going for funny. If you find it funny, I guess I'm succeeding!

2695380 You hit the nail right head with that statement. It dose feel like a 80's Konami game. Of course most Konami games come with a good amount of ham and cheese. That's part of their charm. (witch is why I'm on the fence with los. Dark vania stories are all well and good but los seems to be trying to hard in my opinion.)
