Remember how in "Simple Ways" Applejack told Rarity, that if she wasn't careful with applebucking, she could sprain a hoof?

Well that's exactly what happens in this fic.

Rarity will soon learn the hard way, why applebucking is best left to the experts.

Trender is back in town and he wants to make amends with Applejack. Applejack is suspicious at first, but relents. They go to a bar along with the rest of the mane six and Spike to talk things out. Things go well until Spike catches Trender slipping a love potion into Applejack's drink. Soon after he proposes, and to everyone's surprise she accepts! Now it's up to Spike to stop the wedding and expose the truth!

When Trenderhoof comes to Ponyville, head over hooves for Applejack. Trixie (being as dense as she is) assumes her marefriend returns those feelings. She hatches a plan to get her lover back. With the help of Rarity, will they get the love of their lives to themselves, or will they get unexpected results?

Rarity doesn't understand what she did to deserve this. Yes, she has messed up before. Everypony has. And no, she isn't perfect. Nopony is, after all. Even so, she hasn't done anything to deserve something as horrible as this. "Why must you all torture me so? I haven't told my friends about you, just as I promised! In an alternate future, Applejack ends up married with two foals to Trenderhoof, much to everyone's surprise. But how did they meet? How did they end in love and courting? What kind of implications did this relationship result in?

This is something that they will both find out in a very wild story full of love, family building and drama. Hopefully not too much.

A sort of prequel/side-story to "The Family Mare" which not only explains how they got together, but also showcases more of the family.
