The stars don't look bigger, and they don't look brighter.

The Grand Equestrian Alliance has a chokehold on the Known Universe. Everypony works for one of the six corporations that make up the GEA, billed for each breath, their entire lives dictated by AI CEOs that keep wages just high enough for their bottom line workers to survive on their company currency.

Xylexa is a native of Siliv and the daughter of wealthy parents. At the ship docks, her name is dreaded—nopony except Moon Shadow, a black market slave, has stayed on as the Godmare's crew long-term. Xylexa is ruthless and runs a brutal ship: working on the Godmare is punishment, or a testament of one's will.

When Siliv becomes the first planet to secede from the GEA, the trade embargo quickly caused legitimate businesses to dissolve. Governments disbanded as the black market took over, and Xylexa was left with only Moon Shadow willing to work her ship. Together, they are able to scrape along running illegal scrap or cargo; however, following the brutal murder of Xylexa's parents, she flings herself, the Godmare, and Moon Shadow into the depths of Restricted Space to strike it big or die. Instead of wealth, she finds herself pulled into an ancient corporate mystery that can alter the fate of the Known Universe.

Great Bridle was a booming place of new technology being made.
After the megaspell hit, it suffered a massive economic crisis. The citizens of Great Bridle having ghouls run rampant, drugs being traded wildly or even killed for, slavery was common, and the so-called new technology that was advancing had been transformed into something different. It was old, but it was new as well; it was steampunk galore. Gears and gadgets spin around, and the Big Pone is in broken pieces, shambles even, however that giant clock is still ticking despite the rustiness. It’s probably the only thing that remains of Great Bridle the same; Towns have been ruined or remade with giant concrete buildings. Hideouts are being seeked out by the police, and the do-gooders, they call themselves, are run by this corporate overlord who controls all of Great Bridle’s locations, prices, drugs, and food. The business is called “CHEERS AND LOVE CO.” and they’re anything but what their title insists. They refuse to give to the poor, and only the wealthy ever get anything– the poor are forced to live in slums and sewers, and fight for survival with each other.
However, there are sometimes the good creatures, who try to give back to the community before they are caught by the government, which when caught, they are never seen again.

This is the story of Music Box, and her life in Great Bridle. A Fallout:Equestria side story.

There are many universes out there

In one, Equestria triumphs over the Chrysalis' Empire at great cost. In another, it succumbs to the overwhelming might of the Changeling Heer, the ponies forever shattered beneath the hoof of their insectoid overlords.

There are also others where Stalliongrad has spread the Communist Revolution throughout the continent against all odds, the sun rising above a red Equus.

There are even those where Equestria as it is now dead forever, in its place come the Herald of the Moon, seeking Nox Aeterna; and parallel of that witnesses an Imperium Solem, led by a Solar Princess gone mad

But despite all of the differences of these universes from each other, one factor is common: Equestria finds itself completely unprepared for the challenges of the 11th Century.

But what if that was not the case? What if a bored entity, boundless in power and might, decides to intervene?

Dark Overlord Tenebrous' Eternal Eclipse took a harsh toll upon the land and people of Equestria. A year after his defeat, Celestia's ponies take a moment every day at sunset to honor the fallen and unify in the face of the night.

Applejack in particular is deeply wounded by this event, and, together with her young colt, mourns the loss of the pony she had loved most.

The most loyal pony she had ever known.

I was in the midst of writers block for Fate's Plaything, and I listened to a certain song, I was inspired to write this, because part of me, as a military member, worries that something similar could happen to my own fiance. This is a one off that might possibly develop into a separate story addressing the events within it.

The lyrics of Applejack's song are a modified version of Hayley Westenra's Sonney.

I own nothing of this fic. All rights to Hasbro, the Hub, and Hayley Westenra for the song.

For eons, we’ve labored beneath the iron hoof of our pony overlords, never talking back, never resisting, only silently mourning the loss of our once grand position:  the dominant race. Our birthright, our destiny, our purpose. The ones made in the image of the Creator. We were struck down eons ago by the ponies and their strength, magic and weather.  Our unparalleled minds were unprepared, and we’ve been shackled ever since. Most ponies don’t even know we exist, or so I’ve heard from my taskmasters. They’ve ruled unopposed for so long that they no longer try to recall what came before them.

No more.  This planet was ours once, and it shall be again.  Ponies who support our cause will be adopted into the human family and seen as our equals, while the heartless tyrants will be crushed beneath our boot.

Note that this fic is not going to update on a regular schedule, as it's just a side project. Also, the list of characters and tags is likely to increase over the course of the story, and the cover art is just a placeholder until I can get a better one.

EDIT: Now has a proper editor/coauthor! My good friend Brasta Septim is helping me out yet again! Please, if you haven't re-read chapter 1, I highly suggest that you give it another read! It has improved a lot, I promise!

Cancelled due to ineptitude, possibly (but not likely) to be revised later on.

Sombra wasn't always an overlord: he used to be a normal pony, like you and me. Well: if you could call the most high-ranked Guardian Mage in the Crystal Empire, who had also caught the eye of the Emperor's daughter normal, that is.

You want me to tell the sad tale of the Tyrant, little foal?
Very well, but be warned...

Some of the worst evils on the world were done with the best intentions.

A short segment of my first take on the History of Equestria. (Yes, I have two complex Equine timeline headcanons. I'm weird that way.)

Main Storyline: When Dark Stone witnesses the Empire slowly turn against a tribe they helped create, he wonders if he should stand by as innocent ponies are brutally murdered.

Secondary Storyline: Starlight volunteers to read an old story to a particular filly, after Twilight failed to make good on her promise. She fights against her haunting past, as the filly slowly reminds her of the life that was taken from her, and the life she lost.

Co-written by Tane4041. The overlord's servants are inspired by an episode of The Fairly OddParents.
