One Box To Rule Them All... · 7:06pm Jun 26th, 2015
I have a shameful confession to make:
I've never read Lord of the Rings.
I've TRIED, but Tolkien's prose is...agonizingly slow for me.
Back in sixth grade, I read about a third of The Hobbit.

LOTR Orcs from the Lord of the Rings are basically a race of savages. They are mutated elves, twisted into evil abominations created by the Dark Lord Morgoth. They enjoy cannibalizing each other and the taste of man flesh. They hate beautiful things and love killing. And by extension, I'm pretty sure the Orcs would love to eat the ponies.
Do you think the ponies should try reform these guys or simply kill them?
Child: "Maybe?"
Wife: "Would that be age-appropriate?"
Me: "I literally just walked in the room and have no idea what you two are discussing."
How powerful would the nation of Rohan in Middle Earth be if they had MLP FIM ponies? Big enough to carry a human at least. Would they be able to significantly aid Gondor against Mordor and other forces of evil with their new highly intelligent cavalry units? (also earth ponies, pegasi, and unicorns among the ponies ranks, and the rare alicorn) Also consider, the ponies might have romantic relationships with their human rider, so they would fight even harder. Rohan are the finest horsemen of
I recently played Lords of the Fallen, and I gotta say...
Deja vu....
Anyone who has played Dark Souls will know what i'm talking about, but, maybe if I show you me playing it then maybe the style will jog memories? Eh?
I like it.
Amazon in Early Talks for Lord of the Rings TV Series
I've been waiting for a Lord Of The rings tv series for along time, I hope that Its about Morgoth, the first Dark Lord
Are a pure evil race in LOTR (The Lord of the Rings) They are basically mutated elves. They seem to obey the Dark Lord without question.
But it begs the question, could orcs find redemption after the Dark Lord's death? Maybe not in the Lord of the Rings universe, but something like it.
It could be interesting in a story where once mindless savages break free from the dark force controlling them. Could also be interesting to see the orcs resisting the mind control of a new Dark Lord.
I am a confessed Lord of the Rings nut, and have read everything from the big Trilogy to the Silmarilion and the Children of Hurin, as well as seeing the movies. Towards that end, I both love and hate the movies. I love the movies on the Trilogy, and I believe they were well done, and while they didn't include everything, they did a pretty good job with a very heavy set of books. The Hobbit is what ticks me off. J.R.R. Tolkien wrote the Hobbit for children. The goblins aren't as nasty, the
Hello, everypony. Just wanted to let y'all know that the third and fourth chapters of Act 2, Shadow of Malice, are drafted and ready for edits, but my buddy who's editing the story is very busy and can't get to them at this time. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
On a side note, with the latest chapters, it's been really fun building a region from the ground up.
So a miracle happened and my friend's laptop just started working again a couple weeks ago after just going dark on him back in April/May. Progress wise we've given first edits to ch3 of the second Act, and on my end I'm at the tail end of drafting ch 11 of the second Act. After that the grand finale of the second Act is right around the corner! (putting in edits to a2ch3 as of this moment)
Oliver: "In the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy, Aragorn's lower body wear is never described. Therefore, he never wore pants and you can't prove otherwise."
My response...
Aragorn sighed as he collapsed on the bench. "Finally," he said. "I've been on my feet all day."
"Such is to be expected of a coronation, particularly one of this scale," said Arwen, approaching.
Aragorn smiled. "It was a good coronation, though, wasn't it?"
After a near summer vacation length hiatus, my epic adventure/dark/mystery has finally been updated. For those who don't know, when talking about this thing I do Act-Ch. So we're now up to 2-3 published. (writing wise I'm on 2-12)
Does anyone have any thoughts on the upcoming Amazon LOTR series?
LOTR as in The Lord of the Rings.
Lords of Harmony 2 - 4 (Act/book - Ch.): The Hoofsteps of Doom, part 1
I've also added a little explanation of the style the story is written in in the author note of the first ch since I've had a few people asking about it.
Everyone following my epic adventure/mystery, Lords of Harmony, I’m sorry to say that the story is going on hiatus for an undetermined amount of time. My good buddy who’s editing the story, his computer died. I currently have three chapters all drafted and will work on more, but I will not deliver unpolished work or disrespect my friend by trying to find a temp editor. So, hiatus.
Lich Lord Terminus.
And Lich Lord Venethrax.
Mainly so Asphyxious can have Lich brothers. ^^
I just found out what he looks like... and it scary.
I found out his 114 feet tall... God that big.
Would Equestria be able to aid against Mordor at its strongest? Second Age Mordor. Sauron has the One Ring in this scenario and is a coward and hides in his fortress of Barad-dûr, and just uses his near-endless legions of orcs and other monsters most of the time. He will only fight in the field if he has no other choice. Let's say in this scenario Mordor has more or less destroyed Gondor. Mordor won the Battle of Dagorlad. Sauron lost many orcs, but his legions are quickly recovering. Osgiliath
