I'm Learning Irish Gaelic · 9:33pm Oct 6th, 2016

Most of the time, for my if the character in one of my stories speaks a different language, I use google translate. But, recently. After learning how to say sláinte mhaith and what it stands for, I decided its time to become bilingual.

If you can understand this next sentence, then your awesome.

Dia duit! Conas atá tú? Táim go maith.
Slán.

I'm fairly bad at this, but, this language is very easy for me so I will learn it right quick.:pinkiehappy:

History for the Halloween Season · 10:39pm Oct 6th, 2019

I might post this to some of the groups I'm in later, or I might not, we'll see as things progress

A bit of cultural info, for those not in the know, Halloween is derived from the celebration of All Hallows Eve, which is the Christianized version of the Celtic Holiday Samhain (pronounced Sah-Win). Samhain was the Celtic New Years' celebration, and many of the practices for the holiday we have today actually have roots in that ancient holiday.

Oh, and about that Unicorn off to the side there... · 3:28am Dec 30th, 2016

That's Azure Foalklore, unicorn bard and adventurer. She was my character in a variant game of Pathfinder about a year or so back.

Pathfinder is pretty much Dungeons and Dragons (Ogres and Oubliettes for the canon) and a friend found a system rule for Equestrian player races. It didn't last much more than three sessions due to player drop in/drop out, but it was fun being a happy-go-lucky wandering minstrel.

For Civil War and St. Patrick's Day fans... · 11:34pm Mar 17th, 2016

Many in America and in other countries today, especially in Ireland (or Eire, if you live there) celebrate their Irish heritage. While I have no Irish blood myself (at least none that I know of), I hold the Irishmen of the Civil War with respect, including the men of the Union Irish Brigade and Confederate General Patrick Cleburne. In the spirit of respecting Irish who have fought in many wars over the centuries, as well as celebrating Irish culture, I'd like to put a few songs here, as well as

COVID-19 · 10:47pm Mar 13th, 2020

So with the amount of news coverage of the coronavirus and the fears and misinformation. I think we should all stop for a second and think about this logically.

Then immediately go straight to panic and hoarding toilet paper. We are all going to die and everyone who has it is an enemy to the people and need to be immediately quarantined.

SUFFER NOT THE INFECTED AND REMEMBER,

I don't normally brag but Luck of The Irish is a pretty brutal Europa Universalis achievement to get. I should get Linky to rule over my fictional kingdom of Great Ireland.
