Southern California is as bad as Florida. Temperature is scorching, the cities stink, guns are everywhere (and I'm from Atlanta, so.....), segregation is appalling, and people are total jerkasses.

I’ve been putting this off for a while— this news is basically old hat at this point. This is mainly because I feel like people on this site lean left more than they lean right (that’s often the case with most sites). However, I still feel it important to say that if Republicans or Democrats are doing something perplexing or concerning, I will usually talk about it.
When shut out of a university, censored from television, or banned from a forum, people cry out ‘Freedom of Speech!’. The typical retort is that Freedom of Speech is from the First Amendment of the Constitution, and refers solely to restrictions on government action.
This is wrong. Hopelessly, myopically wrong.
In my last blog post, I wrote that people in the SCA have the super-power of being able to “study people from a distant time and place and try to understand them.”
I spoke too soon.
Horseshoe Theory is a political model that takes the classic ‘left-right’ regime and claims that the line bends around and meets at the ends, with the extreme left and the extreme right being essentially identical. This is, of course, nonsense; not least because it relies on the outdated idea that political positions can be mapped on a one-dimensional line, which is a massive oversimplification. But Horseshoe Theory gained traction because it is based on a fundamental seed of truth:
Some good news: Seattle is seriously working on defunding its police by at least fifty percent. And remember how my last blog post was about how the feds were being awful in Portland? Well, as of a few days ago, they've started to reduce their presence there, and what do you know?
The mere thought of state funding going to religious education turns my stomach. I say this as a Christian. If you are too lazy to send your brat to church on Sunday, that's on you! It is not on the state to pay for your child to learn about Jesus, especially not when they should be learning reading, writing, and arithmetic! If you want to send your child to religious school, it is on YOU to find the funds for it. My tax dollars should have no part in it!

HERE is an event finder so you can find Bernie events near you like fund-raisers and phone banking training. If we are to defeat $hillary, we cannot merely share pro-Bernie memes on Facebook, we must be PROACTIVE! I know I might lose a few followers for this, but this is bigger than horse words. This is a chance for our generation to take our country back from the 1%!
God bless you all, and FEEL THE BERN!
Plenty of people probably aren't feeling very patriotic today. I know I'm not. Between the atrocities at the border, the attacks on women's and lgbt rights, and the threats to the press and rule of law? It's easy to feel the country is in a downward spiral, if it was ever that great at all.
If British politics were an Equestria Girls film, we would now be at the scene where the Prime Minister has transformed into a megalomaniac winged demon, and is now hovering above the Palace of Westminster, sending out shots of dark magic while cackling with laughter, yet frustrated with people’s efforts to thwart her evil plans.

Now there’s a title that could mean a lot of things, couldn’t it? Don’t worry, the meaning will be clear soon enough. I had some thoughts I wanted to share, and an OP-ED piece felt like the best route.
My parents came over to help hand out candy, and we turned the news on. They were talking about how they are reanalyzing the emails from Hilary Clinton, and my Dad told me that if thy find anything that can constitute treason then she would go to prison. Now I'm curious, if she is elected as President and they discover something, would she still go to prison?
I don't know whether to or at that. In Russia, one could potentially sue Trump for insult for that.
I have to give him some credit, though. The video is short, simple, blunt as an axe and strikes hard. And, be it admitted, I found it funny. (No, seriously, Hillary Clinton looked really funny).
I don't have that many followers, and I almost never blog. I tend to focus my activism elsewhere. But this is a point in history where people are looking for support as our country is rocked by tumultuous events, and I don't want anyone following me to feel left out in the cold. I am tired, and this will be quite rambling, so don't expect any eloquence from me today.
For anyone who's unclear on this topic, black lives matter. Trans lives matter.
I think people should buy silver and gold... Digital currency is going to be scary.
In the show, "Friendship is Magic", and its tangential media, Equestria is referred to as a "kingdom," despite the plain and obvious fact that it is a princesspality.
