Well holy hell! I didn't know I've already made such a big following of people! Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you some Fanart for "Star Wars: The Horse Awakens". Once again, let it be known that I didn't ask for this at all, and this person made this with the kindness of their heart. For that, I am truly thankful.
Because part of why the last chapter took me so long was because I was drawing stuff from it instead of writing.

So I had some fun new this week. The Royal Canterlot Library reviewed Without a Hive! Reading it just made me so happy. The stories I've made here have been a fun hobby project, but there's something so rewarding in finding out that others have enjoyed it so much. It makes me feel like I'm doing something right.

First up is Starlight, looking all perky and ready to go! And of course she has to have her Lancer, which Alienz_Tea gave a unique and very detailed take of!
So, back when I wrote a blog post about Legend of Everfree, I ended up comparing Flash Sentry to Charlie Brown and half-jokingly said that I wanted to see fanart of Flash as Charlie Brown. Well, no one has made any such art yet. 
I guess not a lot of people look at Flash and see Charlie Brown. Look, I'd make fanart myself, but I can't because I draw like an 8-year-old. 
Have you ever had a fandom line you knew you wouldn't cross? "Yes, yes, I know, I really like Harry Potter--but I wouldn't go to a midnight show. --- OK, so I went to a midnight show, but when I'm at conventions, I only give talks dressed in my regular clothing. --- Hogwarts robes count as regular clothing, right? --- What if I'm wearing a costume, but it's just my regular clothing with a little makeup? --- I'm dressed as Gilderoy Lockhart, and you can't stop me!"
The simplest and smallest of kindnesses can have profound effects. It's a point that I often make in my writing because I think that it's one of the most important points to make. When I look around and see so many people finding only the darkness in the world, I can't help but want to show them how beautiful the world is, and how the littlest thing can turn a bad day around.
As usual, I pull from my own experiences.

So, I just got done reading the copyright and fair use laws. Ugh... basically, it's impossible for artists and other creators to turn a profit on their works (fan fiction or fan art) even when it's pretty obvious the "product" is not official. I guess some companies are pretty lenient, but when I can't seel my drawings because, god forbid, some asshole thinks my character is copyrighted -ahem- DA prints reviewer -cogh- by someone who didn't create her.
So Purple Patch has drawn a bit of fan art, not just for me but for quite a few authors. Observe:
At the bottom right is Patch's (apparently) favorite Equestrylvania villain, Whisper White. Now I'm just waiting for a color version of this so he's easier to spot. :p
