    Some Whisper and Starlight arts.

I entirely forgot to post these up, but Alienz_Tea over on Reddit made some beautiful pictures of Whisper and Starlight that I wanted to share!

First up is Starlight, looking all perky and ready to go! And of course she has to have her Lancer, which Alienz_Tea gave a unique and very detailed take of!

    Non-pony writing and titles

So I haven't done any new pony-words in a while, but I've still been writing. In fact, I've got a story that I'm hoping to get professionally published. Probably still a while away, even if things were to go miraculously smoothly, but it's a possibility that I'm really psyched about. There's just one problem:

I'm not sure what to title it.

    The Chrysalis translation (Spanish)

So there's another translation of The Chrysalis in the works! Bloo-D00 has started the impressive task of translating the story to Spanish on their DeviantArt account ( https://www.deviantart.com/bloo-d00/gallery/all ). They've already got the first 18 chapters out, which is some impressive work!

    The Chrysalis translation (Russian)

The Fallout: Equestria fandom seems to have a sizable Russian-speaking population, so MrBrightsideTF2 has started the impressive task of translating my story into the Russian language! I've got to admit, I'm rather flattered that someone would go through that sort of effort for my story!

    No more books.

Well, it was a good run. Lulu just sent out a message stating that they will not allow fanfiction, in any form, to be sold through their site, even privately, and that they're shutting down my account there. As of now, every book is offline.

A little Nictis news · 12:40pm Feb 16th, 2019

So I had some fun new this week. The Royal Canterlot Library reviewed Without a Hive! Reading it just made me so happy. The stories I've made here have been a fun hobby project, but there's something so rewarding in finding out that others have enjoyed it so much. It makes me feel like I'm doing something right.

There's also a short interview where I ramble on with some lengthy answers, because apparently I like to write a lot even outside of stories. There's also a little bit of news tucked in near the end...

But first, a bit of fan art, courtesy of Nytus!

Clicky!

She looks so wonderfully smug, doesn't she?

And this leads to that bit of news in the interview. See, Nytus did something else, too. He let me know about the BronyCon Bookstore project, where some people are hoping to gather up print copies of fanfiction from as many authors as possible to bring to the convention. And he poked and encouraged me to participate. And started helping out with editing and formatting for print.

So in short, if all goes well, I'll soon have a print version of Without a Hive to send to BronyCon. It's a little exciting, and a little intimidating. There's still a lot of stuff to do, but I have to admit, I really like the idea of having a physical copy of that story

Thank you for signal-boosting the bookstore so we didn't have to XD

Oh man. Now I'm nervouscited. I love your trilogy and I love physical copies of FIM fanfiction. So far I have 16 books. I would love to add any of your books to that collection. Please tell me there would be a way to get a copy other than going to Bronycon if this actually happens.

Makes me wish I went to conventions. (Or, more correctly, that I was willing and able to travel internationally to go to conventions.) I'd blow the bottom out of my budget.

youre a great writer! I love your works!

Ah, congratulations. :)

Oh, and I'm sorry you didn't know about that yet. Good luck with it!

It's a great idea, and I'm happy to help spread the word!

I can't commit to anything for sure (Especially since this is all still "if things go well and this happens"), but if there are any books after the convention, I'd of course be offering those up for sale (Print cost plus shipping). And if there's more interest than there are books, I could order more.

I am embarrassed that I somehow missed this blog post when it was freshly put up. My only excuse is that I was busy re-reading Without a Hive for the second or third time that week. ^_^

I am glad you liked my quick little vector of Meadow Song. It started out as a simple doodle for my own visualization, so again, if you spot anything that doesn't match your vision of her, let me know and I can easily fix it. I still might go back in and clean it up a bit. (the tail still feels a little flat to me, even though I imagine Nictis would indeed keep a low-maintenance I-don't-really-care flat mane and tail style)
:twilightsheepish:

I'll be heading to BronyCon this year, so if you don't manage it, I will be sure to take a few pictures of the bookstore (with your book prominently displayed, of course) for you.
