(Rewatched November 24th, 2023.)
I've seen this movie before, though it's been a number of years now. Still holds up very well.
Taking place in West Texas, "Hell or High Water" is the story of two brothers, Toby (Chris Pine) and Tanner (Ben Foster), who carry out a spree of bank robberies to raise the money to pay off the mortgage on their old family ranch. Investigating the robbers are Texas Rangers Marcus Hamilton (Jeff Bridges) and Alberto Parker (Gil Birmingham).
Greetings and salutations, my friends.
This is your top-of-the-line film, TV show, and episode reporter here with another review.
Today, for my first film analysis of 2024, I'm gonna give you guys my take of "TOGO".
As with the other biographical movies I reviewed in the past, I'll be skipping on doing a summary for this movie. But, I will say this:
The 100th Anniversary movie for Disney and my overall thoughts on this movie is that it is... Fine. Let's see what I liked and didn't like about it.
The Good:
-The songs for the most part are enjoyable and do provide enjoyment, my favorite being At All Costs which in my opinion is slept on.
Well, I haven't seen Camp Cretaceous yet. But I say I like moments likes these in movies and shows were two different groups of characters are in the same area during an event, but both groups are in different places and have different point of views
I'm actually not late this time!
Yay!
Okay, let's get down to business.
Spring Surprises Chapter 16 - Communication and Revelation (Released earlier this month!)
Our fab girls have a chat with Luna, Rarity welcomes Coco into her shop, Twilight and the CMCs make their move, and Gilda gives the Rainbooms quite the shock.
I'm in Colorado now, (have been for the last few days) and if there's one thing that means, it means that couch potato mode has been activated, as my family here and I show each other cool things, movies and tv shows, that we've seen recently and liked. It's also a chance for me to catch up on my pop-culture education without a younger sibling to worry about; thus, last night I showed people Godzilla, (2014) and they rebutted with Pacific Rim, and then we went in a completely
Good day, chums! You'll be irritated to know that Movie Night is still not ready. Seriously, haven't even touched it. It's just so effing hard and I'm out of practice. Writing anything in the Gentlemanverse today requires a ton of effort to get all the lore details right. How can I make it all up to you?
How about a sequel to a story that over half of my followers probably didn't read because they follow me for the Gentlemanverse fics?
Yes everyone, it's time I show what I've been doing over the last few months. I've kind of been going back and forth between these stories depending on how I was feeling and what ideas I had, but I believe we'll be getting quite a bit of chapters posted this month, depending on how well my new way of proofreading/editing will go that I'm hoping will fix more errors than what we've already seen in the rough drafts. Anyway! Here's what I've got going so far.
I'm half watching Twin Peaks, and half writing What They Expect to Give. Waiting for my son to fall asleep. I want to just focus 100% on writing, but because I'm pretty sure I'm going to be interrupted at any moment, I don't want to get too absorbed into my work. I get VERY crabby when someone snaps me out of my rhythm...
Yes Disney buying 20th Century Fox and other movie studios is a very bad thing. Please watch this video to learn why.
Time to close out 2018 by finishing up the prequel comics for 2017’s pony movie. At this rate, I should catch up by June! You know, barring Season 9.
It fucking sucks.
It deserved getting 0% on RottenTomatoes' website.
Avoid this film at all costs. Unless you want to torture your children with a very lackluster film with very VERY few funny jokes. I counted maybe ONE joke, but I cannot remember what it was due to the movie being so forgettable. Chris Stuckmann even shares the same view as I do.
Fluttershy is probably the most powerful character in the entire show. There I said it. I know, some will note that she doesn't have any magical abilities or that she hasn't been the one to lead or to defeat whatever the big evil thing is that pops up in a given season. Yet, in spite of all of that she has managed to accomplish quite a lot for being a pony with the confidence of a doormat.
Old news by now, but the MLP Movie got an official Score album! This is a pretty big deal. MLP Score music has NEVER seen an official release before.
What's more, it has the music replaced with 'Ponies Got the Beat', which is partially heard in the credits. Literally less then two weeks ago, I discussed this in my two-parter video on the Movie. I said:
