February Updates and Plans · 12:37am Feb 6th, 2022

Hey all! I was writing some work that was (supposedly) professional, but found myself getting too overtaken with outside thoughts. So I’ve decided to hang around here and type up my ideas for what I want to do this month. Unlike many of my past posts, I’m trying to adhere to a stricter schedule, as I’ve found just having a single date guideline tends to leave me procrastinating until the due date. Going forward, I’m going to widen the time limit for my goals to a single week so that I am

My Movie Review on Mrs. Doubtfire · 11:22pm May 11th, 2019

Yo, what’s up everybody?

This is your friendly movie and tv show reviewer tuning in once again.

And today, I’ll be making a review on Robin Williams’s “Mrs. Doubtfire”.

(Fun Fact: I’ve been wanting to review this movie since around the very beginning of my reviewing career. However, I had trouble figuring out what to say about it, so I had to watch it more than once. And now, after seeing it again recently, I’m finally ready to make my review of this film.)

About MLP: The Movie (2017) · 7:03am Apr 29th, 2018

So, finally got around to watching the movie today. I won't lie, I was kinda worried I'd have wasted money on a dud film and end up cursing my fan devotion to the series, especially after hearing such mixed reception. But, like dropping into a boiling hot tub, once I was in, I was able to properly relax.

NO SPOILERS

Alright, so the third EG movie is just around the corner and I want to get a few things off of my mind. Let me start by saying that I haven't seen any of the trailers or teasers for the film. All that I've seen are the five shorts. I don't know anything about the third movie aside from the hidden scene at the end of Rainbow Rocks. I will be watching it almost completely blind (I saw a few screen caps from the movie but that's it.)

Night of the Demons (1988) · 6:52am Nov 25th, 2015

Is it just me or is the crystal map version of Charlie from Charlie's Angels who summons a couple of ponies to do some friendship quest kind of dumb? No seriously, outside of the first mission they went on the map is kind of dumb. The first mission they met up and broke up the pony version of the Orwellian town and restored individuality to the ponies there (at least for awhile). This was a good mission. It was a mission well worth taking. After that though, not really quite so

Just saw The Last Unicorn for the first time · 11:35pm Jun 19th, 2015

A unicorn overhears from a hunter that this is the last forest where a unicorn roams. Distrought and worried, she sets out on a quest to find what has befallen the rest of her kind.

A simple plot, but the movie puts it to excellent use. My thoughts behind the cut.

You ever notice that when a year comes to an end there's this glut of people who will tell you it was the best or worst year ever. I mean they will literally sit there and get way too emotional about the previous year one way or another and stare at you with bloodshot eyes, smelling of patchouli and Old English and just go on about how they feel about whatever has happened that has led to this conclusion. I can tell you right now that 2016 was neither the best or worst year ever. It was

I thought it was a joke, I thought it was a funny or die video, I thought it wasn't going to happen in a hundred years... I was wrong.

"10/10 Best Anime"~ IGN
"Easily beats Toy Story."~ New York Times
"I beat the f**k Outta my d**k so hard that I can't even feel my left leg."~ Some random guy online.

Joking aside, yep, we're at that low point now. What's next?

I just saw that movie, and Oh.

My.

God.

:raritydespair:

I think it's the best thing since Saving Private Ryan.

The feels are real (I legitimately couldn't stop crying through almost a quarter of the movie), and it doesn't add fluff or censorship to any of the combat, and it tells a true story, not one based off a true story.

This movie definitely has enlightened me.

I will be doing closer research when it comes to combat from now on.

Thank you, Desmond Doss!

I know it still has a chance to suck, but I actually REALLY liked the last movie, so... I... may have orgasmed a little watching this.

The Stepfather (1987) · 3:08am Jan 25th, 2016

You know, for as overly dramatic as Rarity is with her relationships, she's had it pretty easy in some respects. Oh sure, she's had her heart broken a few times. Dates or stallions haven't lived up to her expectations (Blueblood and Trenderhoof) and yet pretty much after a gallon of ice cream and a day or two of moping or crazy antics she gets over it. One hoof in front of the other she buries herself in her work and helping out her friends.
