Today, in a day already dominated with headlines about Cvoid, wildfires, a hurricane making landfall in New Orleans on the anniversary of Katrina and the ongoing chaos in Afghanistan following the Taliban takeover, comes the news that actor and voice talent Ed Asner has died at the age of 91. As of yet, no cause of death has been announced.
What happens, when one comes to the point; where there is nothing more, and one could go no further?

So school started on Monday, and while I've been able to get glances of what's been going on through my mobile app and small windows where I actually got to take a break this week, I still don't think I've managed to actually do anything on the site other than make a comment or two. School's been hectic this week.
Another talented actor has been taken from us this year, now Kenny Baker, the actor who played R2-D2 in the first six Star Wars movies, has died at the age of 81. Originally turning down the role, Baker accepted after Alec Guinness signed on to play Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Apparently the year of death isn't even taking a holiday, as one more musician has passed away. This time it takes the form of former WHAM! artist (and later solo artist) George Michael, he died Sunday at his home in England at the age of 53.
So, I went to my uncle's funeral this last Saturday. It was a nice funeral, or at least as nice as celebrating a dead person can be, but it was open casket. Now, I am desensitized to death, blood, gore, and dead bodies, but I always find myself uncomfortable with open coffins. It really disturbs me for some reason. I have to assume it's the setting that it's in. If I were to find a dead body somewhere I would be less disturbed than finding an open coffin somewhere. At least with a random dead
Here we have a bit of a sadder post today, but I wanted to reflect on the recent news I've heard about Prince.
What a legend. The man wrote so many good songs. He was amazing.
If you don't know who Prince is, go look him up right this minute. He was a talented man. I don't know much about the guy, but he's made some pretty good songs.
It just saddens me that he died so soon, 57. What a shame.

Adding to the list of talented individuals that have died this year, Eagles co-founder and guitarist Glenn Frey has died at the age of 67. His death was a result of complications from multiple illnesses, and he passed away in New York City.
In addition to his works with the Eagles, Frey had a successful solo career, and even reunited with the band in 1994. He released his final solo in 2012.
There is a great disturbance in the force in a galaxy far, far away. For today, actor Peter Mayhew who played Chewbacca in many of the original Star Wars movies has been confirmed to have died. His death came on April 30, but news has just now broken out about it, he was 74 years old.
After a surprising amount of silence on 2019's part since the death of Russi Taylor, another high profile has come. For today word has reached the ears of many that Caroll Spinney, one of the longest lasting Muppet puppeteers who famously played (and voiced) Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street since its inception in 1969, died today at his home in Woodstock, he was 85 years old.
