Hey all! I’ve got a new grimdark story for you all. It was written for a Quills and Sofas speedwrite, where the prompt was “In Too Deep”.
This one plays with formatting quite a bit and as such it is unable to be posted on Fimfiction. The link to the Google Document containing it is here:

Please be aware that the formatting breaks on mobile browsers.
On my end the formatting doesn't break on mobile, though maybe that's just being on a tablet. Also, Fimfiction does have right and center align options for text, so you could probably do most things stuff the doc is doing on a story here. You could also potentially use invisible text (that's a thing you can do on Fimfic, yes, and no I'm not talking about just making it white) to move things so they aren't precisely touching the borders, though then that would likely get screwed over in mobile browsers because of the smaller screens. But if mobile browsers are already screwing the GDocs version then might as well I'd say.
So, I think I've cracked it:
You hate Scootaloo. Don't deny it; you've put her through two pretty nasty incidents, at least. All you have left to do is explain yourself :P
The formatting worked fine on my iPad.

There is the left and right align, but as far as I can tell you can't change sections of font. Am I incorrect? I'd love to be able to post it here!

3, if you count Rainbow Factory and Pegasus Device as separate incidents 🤔 I don't hate her though! When RF was written, she was considered a disabled orphan generally by the fandom, and was a character that was easily available for heartbreaking stories; Take something adorable and precious, apply a tragic backstory, and then crush them mercilessly :3 This interpretation of her has stuck with me, despite later developments to her character.

There is text size, but I'm afraid there is no way to manually alter the font of the text, however you can do 𝔱𝔥𝔦𝔰 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓮 by copying and pasting something already in a different font. Actually, let me try it with the document.
Nope. Not copying it from there. But 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 definitely ⓘⓢ ꪖ way to do something like that. I'm just not tech savvy enough to know about this kind of things properly.
If I'm also allowed to interject with the other conversation: While Scootaloo did indeed turn out to maybe be disabled (the show arguably went as close as it was allowed to about establishing that), but not an orphan, I always found it funny that with all the chicken jokes people used to make about her the one character that actually turned out an orphan is the one whose name literally means 'rooster'.

Interesting. I will try and play with that. Might find some good fonts that will work and then I can indeed post it here.
