Apparently the year of death isn't even taking a holiday, as one more musician has passed away. This time it takes the form of former WHAM! artist (and later solo artist) George Michael, he died Sunday at his home in England at the age of 53.

Originally part of the pop group known as WHAM!, Michael went solo shortly before the band broke up, recieving noticeably higher praise for his solo endevors than his career with WHAM! A homosexual, Michael's career was plagued by controversy over his drug use and risky sexual actions, though he was able to move on from the scandals even though he was at times plagued by disputes with Sony.

In spite of his many scandals and controversies, Michael was considered a wonderful musician with a great voice. And he will be missed by all who knew him or heard his works. Here's to hoping he will be the last one taken from us in this year of death, and that 2017 will see a break in these celebrity deaths.

Michael’s manager said he died following heart failure. So at lest we know what he died from.

4356043 His manager also said he wasn't sick, but it's possible he was suffering from something in private or had a condition that he wasn't aware of.
