Spoilers ahead!
Hey guys. Like I mentioned in a blog not long ago, I mentioned I was considering doing a sort of 'authors notes' on Titanium Jack, since the story went through a lot of iterations and changes during writing, from the initial concept to the actual writing. What I'm going to do (for those who are interested) is look at some of the stuff I thought about and worked through. Who knows! Some of you might find it interesting.
That’s the third chapter. Don’t worry, next time we’ll finally get into Maretropolis proper, and see some action.
It's my 25th birthday eve! Woo!
Spending the night at my bestie's for a night now that the stay at home order is lifted. We're gonna get drunk, watch horror movies, order pizza, and eat popcorn, chips, and queso :3
Before I get started, I wanted to thank everyone who has been reading since the beginning, and everyone who is just now catching back up. It really means a lot to me, and I hope you're all excited to see where this ride goes next. As of right now, I've got one little arc to finish up, and one more arc to write before I'm done. Conservative estimates are around 7 to 8 chapters, but knowing me, it's going to be more.
Spoilers ahead for the latest chapter of Filly Friends, Wub. Duh.
Took a look at my follower count today and was delighted at what I found!
Thank you guys SO much. It really is an honor to write for you all. It's amazing to know that y'all like my stories so much. Thanks for giving me the privilege of creating for y'all time and again.
Welp, my uncle just pissed me off (what a shock).
Before I get going, I want to thank everyone, again, for reading through. I was honestly not expecting much in the way of reception for an author who has been gone for years, but I was so pleasantly surprised. You guys have chucked my iffy words back into the featured box multiple times over the course of posting, and I don't think any amount of thanks will accurately convey how much that means to me.
So, yes, definitely far more than just two weeks. I’m very sorry; I wish I could say I had a busy schedule, but the truth is I was just lazy, and could justify my laziness by watching excellent television shows like Steven Universe (And reading fanfiction about Steven Universe, and watching theory videos about Steven Universe, and completing the Steven Universe iOS RPG…)
So there will probably be an update tonight since for a lot of reason I couldn't update yesterday. Anyway, I figured I should warn my readers that the siren's spell will make some characters OOC, especially since some are in cannon slow to anger (or not likely to act on their anger)
anyway, figured I'd explain why some things will happen later in the story before I just get a bunch of hate mail about it.
So my first and most recent story, Dash Gets Help from a Deus Big Mac’ina, is actually extracted from a much larger story I’m working on. It picks up immediately after the girls wrap up their time together at the dance. Deus Big Mac’ina came about as is because of a few factors.
I have now uploaded some 3600 words of Author’s Notes to Time on Their Hooves, spread across the seven chapters, to provide further details on the science, history and other random references to real world trivia which were woven into this story, from Zero Longitude to Atomic Clocks.
Introduction to the Logbook
You guys, my birthday wish is coming true!
For those of you who don't know (or are just coming across this blog by chance), I've been wanting to use my 25th birthday this year to make a difference by inducing lactation so that I can donate my milk to babies in need. Since COVID has hit, I figure the milk banks have been hit pretty hard. Well, I am pleased to let you guys know that today I was able to buy the items necessary to do that! I'm so excited!
WHAT HAVE I DONE?
Well, it's here. I don't really know what to say, except thank you for reading it and this blogpost. I enjoyed writing this story, yet I feel I should apologize for it. Please direct all your hate to Posh, as he gave me the idea. Even if it didn't turn out quite the way he envisioned it. In fact, I imagine he might be disappointed that I took this story in a different direction. Anyway, please follow me past the jump for more fun little tidbits.
I haven’t had a late night upload receive this universal of a response since Reinventing Music, honestly. Thank you, everyone who read it.
But enough of about that, what about the story?
When you hear the inspiration behind this story, you’re probably going to accuse me of not writing what I know, but I just felt like I needed to write For You... for myself as well as for other people.
A swifter update schedule, he said.
It turns out that making writing a habit is hard. It turns out that I am easily distractible. And so it turns out that this story took six weeks instead of four to update, and I had to update on Sunday so I would have enough time to proof-read Chapter 5, and Chapter 6 still isn’t completely rough-drafted.
I believe the term for this is “Planning Fallacy.”
Okay, the second chapter is out. Once again, thanks for reading, and thanks for the likes and comments on Chapter 1.
Not a lot to say this time. I’m still looking for a prereader or editor for the next chapter, and will credit anyone who applies. Please PM me if you’re interested.
