You guys, my birthday wish is coming true!
For those of you who don't know (or are just coming across this blog by chance), I've been wanting to use my 25th birthday this year to make a difference by inducing lactation so that I can donate my milk to babies in need. Since COVID has hit, I figure the milk banks have been hit pretty hard. Well, I am pleased to let you guys know that today I was able to buy the items necessary to do that! I'm so excited!
I owe this one to my mom, who gave me the money to be able to do it now instead of having to wait until I get my next disability check. Though we kind of have been helping each other out a lot lately. She's been using my phone's hotspot to do her work as a teacher online, and I've been helping her adjust to the computer realm since she considers herself technologically challenged. So the fact that she was able to do this for me was such a blessing. I've been driving myself nuts with all the pressure I've felt lately because of being my family's link to the world while in isolation. With the exception of my Mom I'm low key sure that were it not for the internet my phone provides I would be catching so much flack because I technically do nothing to "contribute" to the family. If we're being technical, though, neither does my dad, but he and my uncle will still give me crap about it anyways. For all the times I've felt useless because I haven't been able to contribute anything to my family, I'm finally going to be able to contribute to the well being of babies all over my state, and THAT feels amazing.
Hopefully I'll be able to do things to help a lot of babies everywhere. I'm celebrating that one when my birthday rolls around. If any of y'all saw my last post about my birthday, then you saw that I was asking for everybody to pay it forward do one small kindness for my birthday. So to those of you who are able to do something nice for somebody else, I celebrate you! You guys are rockstars and you are making this time of quarantine much easier on others.
I know the quarantine has been super hard on everybody. But I'm really proud of the whole MLP fandom and how we've all done our best to be supportive to one another through all of this. You guys are the most amazing people, and some of you I've even had the pleasure of talking to or even working with you all on fics. I am so grateful to be a part of this fandom that is more than just a fandom. We're a family. I am so proud of all of you guys for doing all that you do. You guys are rockstars. Special shout outs to the doctors, nurses, pharmacists, postal workers, delivery drivers, grocery store workers, and truckers on this site who are keeping the world going right now. I tip my hat to all of you, and thank you for all of the work you are doing to keep us all safe and fed and connected and healthy.

Congratulations and happy birthday. and doing your part to help those who need it in this time of need really means a lot. I'm fortunate enough to be part of an essential workforce as I help make products that are for the care and raising of animals. but giving something of your own body means a lot more. I applaud you for your generous attitude. Rarity would be proud of it.

I’m glad I came across this blog mama, it’s given me the mental boost to struggle onwards with trying to deal with this quarantine. It’s been real hard on me but i think I can push through with this motivation you’ve given me. Here’s to a happy birthday mama!!!
Now this sounds like a most wonderful way to contribute to the cause. Is there a place you are in contact with to allow you to safely give the milk to? Knowing you'll be able to help families in need of that precious nourishment for their newborns and infants is certainly delightful.
It will be good to hear how everything works out as you get set up to help increase the breast milk supply. Breast milk is known for having a lot of amazing qualities that formula just can't match. Most notably antibodies. Babies are most vulnerable to COVID-19 and giving them a boost to immune systems will be epic!
