Woo! Back from my dental check-up! Turns out, my teeth are clean! Clean enough to eat off of! Huzzah! Just one more bit of good news for the week. Finished up another novella yesterday (the second, now, to be part of the "short" story collection Unusual Events) and hit my quota for the month (90,000 words) so things are looking good going into August. Finish up another story or two, get Alpha and Beta readers pouring over Unusual Events and Colony, get covers, and ...
This is something that I've been meaning to ask for a while now and I'd like to get everyone who reads this' input. I've noticed that a majority of writers who tackle the Dazzlings past in the human world seem to believe that they are immortal and have survived for a very lengthy period of time. I've seen some in the medieval period, the renaissance, and even as for back as Greece and Rome in their hay day. I've just wondered why this was the case.

Yes, I know I slowed down a bit in making a new chapter, but I finally did it. It wasn't an easy one to write, though. I have 3-4 stories in my head right now. That's not to add writing job as well, so you can see how much I've been doing and thinking on any given day. But this new chapter is much longer, and hopefully more satisfying. does anyone remember the 2005 game Still Life? in it, there was a BDSM cult of assassins (simplest definition) that has infiltrated all parts of Chicago society. the 4 symbols of the cult have always stuck out in my mind (Mistress of Pain, Queen of Secrets, Lady Temptation, Baroness of Blood) and i have just now figured out how i can use them
