Sorry for the delay on this. I wanted to go up with the final update, but changed my mind on what I wanted to say.
To start with, I want thank everyone who stuck around through this five-and-a-half-year journey. Some quick "fun fact" backstory: a lot of the content involved in this story was originally written in what I now consider draft form in an IRC RP. Due to circumstances beyond the control of most of the players, a number of things were either left hanging or ended unsatisfactorily. From Dusk to Night and Mending Light are a revision of that draft, giving the characters the "ending" they deserve (I use the term loosely, because while the story is done, their journey will continue). This was one of those projects that seemed shorter in the outline, but once we started working on the details, it got really long really fast. Yes, despite having a considerable draft and outline from before, a lot of stuff sort of expanded on their own (granted, a good deal of those new details were due to us having to change other details to make the story less outlandish). Still, it was fun, so thanks for having the patience to see it through.
I suppose the obvious next question is: what now? The answer to which I'm not entirely sure. However, I think after such a long project, I'm a bit burned out on horse words. I need to do something else for a bit before I consider any further horse words. Can't say what that is for certain, but the idea that's been at the tip of my mind is one where a young girl and her magical dog must journey into the world of the fey in search of her missing mother. That's oversimplifying it a bit, but a bunch of the finer details are going to shift based on what medium I want to go with for it (something I'm still waffling on). I'll likely post the link here if it gets rolling (or I end up going with something else).
Oh, and of course, I'll be helping Invidlord with the short little extension story he's going to be working on. So if you're still itching for more Flusky, the flow of horse words hasn't quite stopped yet. More details to come.
In the meantime, if anyone needs to get a hold of me or just even hang out and chat, I'll be checking in here every now and again, as well as streaming on my Twitch channel.
Once again, thanks, and I hope to see you all around.
I enjoyed the ride. Best of luck in whatever you’re doing next.
Being gone from fimfic for so long...
I can't wait to re-read these and see my favorite necromancer again.
