Well, as anyone who's been following for the past few months knows that at least two months by my count a cat knocked part of my family's computer (The tower specifically) of it's table rending the computer useless until someone takes a look at it.
Woo! That three day hiatus though. To let you all know as to why I was gone for three days from FIMFiction. It has to do with the fact that my computer crapped out on me. The cooling fan had gotten stuck and wouldn't move so I refused to use the computer until it got the fan fixed. Turns out the fan had just accumulated a mass amount of dust which then caused it to stick in place and kept it from moving. Now, however, I got that fixed. So... yay!
So, hello. I'm glad to be here. While the title of this missive still holds very true for matters ranging from "What is appropriate blogging content," to "How do I do physics," I really am happy to finally be getting my weird, kinda funny fanfiction out into the world.
So I bought a new PC back in early November when HP started sales for Black Friday. (HP Pavilion Desktop if anyone was curious) I was getting it because my old Desktop (HP Envy I think) was shutting off randomly. Not good when you have ZOOM calls for college and proctoring extensions that monitor your PC during tests.
Happy Independence Day everyone! Well kind of a belated one as it is after midnight here now, but still! Hope it was a good one for you all.

Bad one, to be exact. My laptop is being a little bitch and keeps turning off on me every hour. I'm having a guy look at it, said it might be overheating, and will hopefully have some proper diagnostics tomorrow. In the meantime, my parents are letting me use their computer if I need it, which is good, but I may have to be careful on what sites I go on. I might have to get a new desktop depending on how my laptop is.
Well, if things go well today and fate likes me, one way or another I'll be learning if my computer is either fixable or not, as my family might possibly be dropping it off at a friend's house and seeing if it is salvageable later this evening.
So, apparently the part needed to repair my computer is on back order. Fortunately, it's a non-essential part and I can get my computer back until they get the part in to effect the repair. However, I don't want to start back up on Consequences just to have it interrupted again, so until the repair is made, Consequences is still on hiatus.
As the title says I bring you good news and bad news.
First up the bad news. My desk top died. The writing program and my custom dictionary all gone and I cant get them back. This means a significant though temporary detriment to my writing.
Good news: I had just saved all my notes and such on both The Alter Accords and My Little Tactics which means I can continue writing.
Now for those who have been on youtube, well watching it's content, one way or another, you may heard of a youtuber artist by the name of Jazza. He's a funny and talented artist that is hosting a contest here >>>
Basically it explains that in the contest, the theme is after horror films. Like do the villains come back like Freddy Krueger, Jason, Michael? or do the heroes become the villains themselves.
I have almost the exact same PC, but with original hardware.
So, I've had my laptop longer than I can remember. It's pretty damned old as far as computers go. It's nearing the end of it's life, and I'm really trying to keep it working. But honestly, it seems like it's got more problems each day.
So I was looking at my Google Docs list, and I realized I had a half-written chapter for a new story based off of Starbound. For the uninitiated, Starbound is a 2D space exploration game set in a large procedurally generated universe. It recently left Early Access on Steam, and has eaten up my time. So much so, that I've now put more time into it than Terraria, a 2D more survival-ish game. So you may be asking, "Gee, doesn't that sound like another space exploration game that just released?"
It seemed to be better at first when I got it back, but it keeps turning off on me again. Since the guy couldn't make a proper diagnostic last time, it's about time I look into getting a desktop. Might make some adjustments when I get the tower to let me play some good games.

I bought a graphics card (this thing) for about 570$ over Christmas (with shipping and stuff). Now, I have to send it back because I don't have the money to buy a proper 750w power supply for it. Once I get my money back (hopefully next week) I'm just going to by a GTX 960 and maybe upgrade my power supply.
